  • Saddam Hussain interview...

At the weekend, the British veteran labour politican Tony Benn travelled to Baghdad to meet and interview the Iraqi President. This link includes the transcript and a few realplayer clips of the interview:

See what you think of it all.
Well, very simply, it's a biscuit, but it is also a cake - think of it as the transvestite of biscuits. They're about the size of, well, a biscuit, and they're basically a disc of sponge, with a bit of orange-flavour jelly on top, covered in a thin layer of chocolate.

          thanks for link.

          my opinion?
          If Saddam lies, war.
          If not, peace.
          lol..go me

anyway I hope Saddam doesn't lie...or else it would be just to start a war, untill then USA has to back off (they behave like bloodthirsty animals).

All America has right now to go on war is his past.

We have no proof that he's lying, we can only go by his word right now. Granted he has lied and done harm to people in the past...and he should be punished. But why go to war against him on the new charges?

My personal opinion, Tony Benn should've brought a gun with him, and popped a cap in Saddam's ass.

If Tony Benn ever had a chance to bring a gun in, it would very very hard to aim at Saddam's ass, assuming they were both sitting down ... but then again, it's only my personal opinion

Seriously, Saddam is a bad person, a dictator, but he is a good politician - which means only 1 thing - we can't tell whether he was lying!!!

i beleive the logic was that it was a UN coalition (not US only) to free Kuwait. it was not a war meant to remove Saddam.

Because we didn't want to disrupt the ruling sunni government. If they had been overthrown Iraq would currently be ruled by a Shiat (sp?) regime similar to that in Iran. While Saddam is certainly a "very bad man" there's something to be said for the fact Iraq isn't run by a paranoid, overly righteous Theocracy.

I do not like Saddam but overall I think war is one of the worst solutions one can ever get. War will only mean alot of innocent people dying that had nothing to do with this at all.

Those astronauts that died in the crash is NOTHING compared to the ammount of people that will die in this war powell talks so much about. Though, if they really have weapons of massdestrcution I don't know what is best

9/11 will be nothing compared to war....i hope.

I don't have the exact figures but I think half a mill are expected to die and liek 300k refugees that will probbaly come to bloody britain in the end, dammit.

Bush is such a poor leader, it's quite amusing really.

9/11 was nothing compared to any war in comparison to death toll.

It was all about symbolism. If they'd wanted to kill as many americans as possible then it was a pretty pathetic attempt.

I don't understand this whole thing... why go to war ?

It seems that they are having a war to prevent a war... why ?
