Hi guys,
well there's no easy way to say this, DSB will be shutting down in a few days as Sonera has decided to cut back on its gaming servers. We are in the process of finding a new server however it looks like we're going to have to pay for it, the cost is very high so we're looking for donations from players to help keep the zone running.
So we need donations to keep this place running. we need a substantial amount of money to keep DSB and DSB league operational. If every player donate $10.00 we woulde have enough to keep the place running for the next few years. Of course if we don't get enough then we'll have to look at cheaper alternatives that will mean less quality in game play. I will soon have quotes for what a server is going to cost us per year, the figure is going to be at least 1500.00. Below are paypal buttons one to donate money another to subscribe which will deduct 5.00 per month from your credit card.
We feel that after 5 years of free server usage 5.00 per month is not an unreasonable amount to ask if you can not afford this please donate what you can. All donations will be recorded on the website on a special page so that you will be remembered, not only as a great player but as one that cared enough to spend a little of your hard earned cash to keep the game running. Thank you for your help.

some more information.
the new server will be located in North America somewhere most likely EAST COAST. so all you americans make sure you donate.
We'll be setting up a western union thing overnight so that those wihtout cheque accounts / credit cards can donate.
After 1 1/2 hours we're 25% of the way there... Biggest donation so far is 100.00 from BLOGGER... what a dude.
Note: From Loops: Just after this post Ministry22 donated $110.00 what a dude.
From Loops: Not too long ago we recieved two huge donations one of 200.00 from Alan (Sai Force) and 250.00 from JoeT a long standing DSB Staff Member...
We're well on our way to make it. keep going boys and girls we're almost there. I'm in the process of updating the donation page so changes will be reflected there in the next few minutes
Well we're getting close we need some more money to make our target. Come onyou guys dig deap, i'm in the proces of deciding between two deals one is east coast (good for the euro's) one is west coast.
Only a few more donations required dig deap i know after all these years of a free game (where do they exist) you can afford to spend a few dollars to keep the game you love alive. Just consider what it costs to buy a copy of Counter Strike and we only want donations of $10.00
