XBOX 360 Users, I have a question

The 360 has been out for awhile, and the Wii comes out sunday. The ps3 comes out on Friday.

The question: Is the PS3 a few steps ahead of 360 or just very late in it's release?

Some nerd can probably give you a better answer but I think basically it is just late. They're both HD capable or ready, whatever you want to say. They have similar specs, and are intended to compete against each other so from that perspective it is late. Technically, I've heard the PS3 does have better processing power but it's basically redundant. Also, it can play blu-ray movies. HD DVD, the direct competition to blu-ray, can be played by a Xbox 360, but you'd need to buy an adapter thing that I'm not sure is out yet.

The Nintendo Wii is on a different level. It's marketed toward "non traditional" gamers, and is much cheaper. Less powerful. Not sure if it can/will be able to play HD DVD or anything, since I haven't heard I'd assume that means it can't. It, of course, is meant to compete with the 360 and PS3, but in a different way I guess you could say.

I have a copy of Gears of War in my hand and I want to play it.

Forgive me for this stupid question, but the only game i played for the last 5 years is subspace/ continuum.

So the wii and the 360 are already out on the market for a year.
but sony, with its playstation 3, has just been released (right??).
but they announced it over a year ago, if i remember correctly.

The graphics wont blow you off your fucking chair when you play the ps3 compared to the 360, for the money that people want for a ps3, it's ridiculously stupid to buy one. The Wii comes out on Sunday the average price is going to be $279.99 (Canadian). The Playstation 3 was rushed in production which drastically cut back the number of units that were coming to North America which is sky-rocketing the price and making it un-attainable and more so not wanted by a select number of gamers. There is also a risk that this first generation batch of PS3's will be nothing more than an exspensive paper-weight. If you've got some Sony stocks, sell them quick cause in a few weeks when half of these PS3s are returned because they wont even start.


The 360 and The PS3 will definitely have the best graphics out of the three but the Game play on the Wii and low cost may make up for some of those factors.

Try Best Buy or Future Shop and ask if they have any open box items, you can usually get $50 knocked off. Find out the deal at EB for the system (brand new) and see if Best Buy or Future Shop will beat it and add 10% off.

At some point that may change and Nintendo may create an expandable HDD Drive for the Wii much like Microsoft just released for the 360.
