I'll be buying one when the price has dropped after the first few months. What can I say, I am loyal fucker and I have always had playstation.. and I don't really care if the xbox360 has a tad bit better graphics then sony . Or whatever else you can say, if it plays the games I want it to play, I have no problem with it.
I think the major factor is the focus on online game-play since the systems are going to be dead even as far as what graphics/fps the games have. Sure one system might be more capable than another but if the software development tools aren't up to embracing all the hardware what's the point.
One company (Microsoft) seems to put real effort/money into online gaming, while the other (Sony) sees it as simply a capability. If you're a company that produces some of the biggest gaming consoles ever you'd think by now you'd realize that it's all going to online game-play.
(ZaBuZa)>sigh.. i been playing this game since i was 8... i am more mature then ull ever be...
Usually in the netherlands, after like 6 months the price will already have dropped quite a bit. Once the new thing is off, you need to drop the price to sell.
Maybe God was the first suicide bomber and the Big Bang was his moment of Glory.
Microsoft planned for this, they waited till the release of the ps3 for 600 dollars, and then they released an incredible deal on the x360 giving you 4 games and 2 controllers for only 400.
Check out amazon.com, next thursday they'll be selling 5 Xbox360's to some lucky ass people for $100. All you need to do is register to the site and try to log-on when it starts.
GOOD LUCK!

Analysts say that Sony will suffer a loss of $307 for each console sold. While losing money on console sales is common in the video game industry, it's still unusual that the loss for a PS3 is higher than the sale price of a Nintendo Wii plus a game.
Lets no forget backward compatibility not offered with 360 but works with ps2 and wii
Nice try, GamesRadar.com said that more than 200 PS1/PS2 games don't play correctly with the PS3. That and, owning an Xbox 360, the only game I ever play from Xbox v.1 is Halo 2, that or Forza Motorsport.
It's still unusual that the loss for a PS3 is higher than the sale price of a Nintendo Wii plus a game.
It costs alot more than a Wii + a game, the PS3 is 600 dollars, the Wii is 250.
The average game price for all of these consoles is the same (including the Wii)..this is about 50 dollars. Thus.. you could buy a Wii + 7!!! games for the same price as a PS3.
Well he was talking about the loss on each system alone, not the entire price of the ps3. For every ps3 they make, they lose 307 dollars. You can get a Wii and a game for 300 bucks.
My father in law was telling me over Thanksgiving about this amazing bartender at some bar he frequented who could shake a martini and fill it to the rim with no leftovers and he thought it was the coolest thing he'd ever seen. I then proceeded to his home bar and made four martinis in one shaker with unfamiliar glassware and a non standard shaker and did the same thing. From that moment forward I knew he had no compunction about my cock ever being in his daughter's mouth.
For me Final Fantasy is enough to buy PS3, but, I'm going to be pacient for it, and wait to either my wallet is fat enough or that the price is low enough.
And when the next FF is out and proves to be an instant classic, then I'd take up a loan.
Yes, I'm that of an FF addict.

Just to clarify a few things...
I HIGHLY doubt that Metal Gear Solid 4 will be ported to the XBOX360, because Kojima said that only the PS3 has the power to run it, plus the game won't fit on a 9gb DVD. Resistance: Fall of Man already takes up 22gb on the Blu-Ray disc, and thats a launch title. The HD-DVD add-on for the 360 costs around $300, which makes the total $700 for a premium x360 w/ the HD-DVD. Of course you don't have to buy one, but Blu-Ray holds more space and is already included in all PS3s. It supports true 1080p resolution. Peter Moore of Microsoft said that they will release some sort of patch which will upconvert games to 1080, but its not true hi-def.
Right now, you really can't judge the games graphics on either XBOX or PS3 by just screenshots on websites. You will actually have to see them for yourself on an HDTV to really see the crisp details.
Sony did put emphasis on their online capability. It has a web browser, friend list, a store where you can either download free demos, or purchase other stuff, free online play, etc. Resistance supports 40 players online, free, also with no lag and no framerate issues.
Its true that there are 200 PS1/PS2 games that don't work on the PS3, but thats only 2% of the library. There are about 8000 games out, so that still leaves 7800 games. Sony will probably release a firmware update you can download that will make those 200 games compatible.
Resistance is probably the only game I'd play on the PS3 for now. All the good games are coming out next year so its all good, just gotta be patient.
