You might be right, it was just really weird seeing him act like that after knowing him as Kramer all these years. I'm still surprised he did it

It's idiocy because you yourself are discounting the action by saying "big deal, it happens on both sides." It's that kind of thinking that really hurts any hope for change.

How is it idiocy? If I decided to take a stroll through Compton I would probaly be subject to racism, the same as if a black man were to go to Alabama or something. It is a double standard in ignorance. It isn't like there is one living black man today that was a slave. Should I start killing the white men since I have Native American ancestry in my bloodline from five or six generations ago? No.

Who cares honestly, I mean black comedians say the n word all the time in their stand up routines. Having the double standard that the n-word can only be used by black comedians because it is offensive from a white comedian is racist in itself. That would be like me saying, since im white only I can call another white man a cracker, and any black man who called a white man a cracker would be so racist? How come black comedians can make fun of white and black people, but white people can only make fun of white people. Stupid double standards, I have heard 10x worse in movies, other comedians, and other shit. How much longer can black people really use this "you enslaved my great great great grandfather so now you have to pay for it by letting us make fun of your race, while anything regarding our race from you is racist" mentality.

He saw they were black, so went with the N word to get them as riled up as they got him.

Which brings this whole situation down to control- he's a comedian, like someone else said, he should be able to handle the heckling and be used to it. There are plenty of other words he could have used before resorting to racist slurs but he decided to go that route, and now his career has suffered a major blow. I watched the entire thing on google and I have to wonder if he is sorry for actually saying those things, or sorry for the repercussions? I've never seen a comedian blow up like that before, so I don't know if it was stress or what- but he could try and work with Mel Gibson, they're in the same ballpark now.

Kramer is still the man, whether or not the guy who played him is a racist bigot.

At first, I was thinking the exact same thing---it looked like he was trying to do some Lenny Bruce-style social commentary about the loud-black-people sterotype, but he lost control of the crowd, choked and hit Esc+Q and gtfo---basically committing career suicide.
