Battlestar Galactica is not splitting the season this time. Heroes is ok, Stargate Atlantis (the rest of season 3) is airing on TMN the movie network in Canada ahead of SiFi again so you can torrent that every week. Rome is returning with a second season in January and it's pretty good. Jericho went on break last week but check it out.

I find heroes quite entertaining, I have all 11 episodes, though I haven't watched the 11th one yet due to lack of time. But yeah, it's entertaining to me.

i'll check out heroes because everyone on here seems to be raving about it, although i don't think it will be my cup of tea

FUCK. I'm sorry for the spoiler, man. I didn't know. At least I won't tell you how it happens, but it gets pretty obvious towards the last 1/2 of the season. I mean, the entire time I was thinking...oh, Lem is gonna get iced. Nah...they're gonna do something else with the script, because that would be too ez. Whoops, I guess they did kill him.

Oh, I forgot to say---Daybreak is my favorite new show of the season. Although I must say...Studio 60 is a close runner-up.
