Recycled Humor isn't exactly the best place for a serious discussion, but hey, I'll take the bait.

Here's the thing: the vast majority of 'shemales' are transsexuals who do not, and never have, identified as men (despite whatever the porn industry might be selling you with these ridiculous words) -- and thus would heartily object to any male attraction toward them being characterized as 'gay.' There are some who identify with a third gender, but that's something different altogether; most simply wish to live normal lives as women. Unfortunately getting there is a long and expensive process, so yeah, some of them have to resort to porn to pay the bills, and that's where you get the notion of 'chicks with dicks' -- despite the fact that for the most part they don't exist outside of hentai.
