Apparently there was a huge FBI/homeland security thing that went down in Boston today. The culprit? An "underground" marketing scheme for the new Aqua Teen Hunger Force movie.
That's right, everyone got freaked out over what looks to be a Lite Brite rendition of Ignignot flipping the bird "as hard as he can."

First question: Why exactly (in the video above) did they have to blur out a totally incomprenhsible middle finger? There's nothing there that would indicate what finger it was unless you actually knew the cartoon. The media is laughable.
Second question: Not really a question persay--moreso a comment. Game over. The terrorists have won. One (albeit devastating) event happens in this country and everyone immediately goes on permanent "bomb watch alert." Please. I've seen close-up pictures of these things, and they don't look like anything more complicated than a rigged-up Lite Brite. It amazes me at what people will freak out over anymore.
I'm not saying that people shouldn't be completely removed from noticing things, but there's vigilance and there's stupidity--we seem to have a whole lot of stupids in this country.
EDIT: There's no such thing as bad publicity, though--that's for sure. Count on the movie to rake in a few extra hundred thousand (at least) just because people who wouldn't have normally went will want to go see what caused all the ruckus. The movie will "blow up," if you will. (LOLOL BOMB JOKEZ SOMEONE CALL HOMELAND SICURITY)
