Pro-Global Warming Rally

Alright, so some friends and I had an organized satirical rally the other day in response to Sheryl Crow coming to LSU as part of her "Stop Global Warming Tour"



There were four of these mammoth tour buses and two vans.
Go figure.

Anyway, I was talking to a friend about it one day and he didn't understand why it was a satirical rally. This guys was legitimately pro-global warming saying that we humans have been causing the Earth to cool over the last few decades and that pro-global warming measures must be taken to get the earth "back on track".

My own personal view is that global warming is not an issue. I hear too much yak on both sides of the issue and seeing as I'm not a conservation biologist, it's not my place to blindly believe the government with their questionable evidence and it's not my place to say that global warming isn't happening whatsoever.

I was just wondering what you seemingly well opinionated people thought about it. : )

as much as i want to think that the current global warming is a trend which has happened in the past (aka another ice age will come after the 'global warming' reaches its peak)... i dont want to see my home city (shanghai) and other cities along the costs to be submerged in ocean (of course, this wont happen when im alive... but still) and of course, skin cancer

Global warming isn't something that like happens in a year, it's a long process. Although, the temperature change is small, it will get worse later on. So, though it's nothing you have to worry about, it will effect people in generations to come.


And, it's not really super-warm snow abolishing temperatures... Hell, because of global warming, the lakes didn't freeze this winter as fast as they should have, which led to the lake water putting moisture in the air, which led to mad lake-effect snow.

I think, that as a University student, its fucking outstanding that you would protest global warming and make signs appreciating the warm weather instead of realizing that global warming means erratic weather, not just warmer weather.

I'm glad you caught one of the key words....satirical. Play. Pretend. Joke. The point was to seem arrogant, stubborn and outspoken about a topic that we're all blissfully ignorant about (Mocking other protesters that frequent our school as well as poking fun at the irony and senselessness of the Stop Global Warming Concert Tour).

And I pay for school by being a commodity to my employer and by being an obedient daughter. Same difference, really. But thanks for editing that question out anyway :/
