Indeed, I think you would have both more fun and more of a chance to get a job teaching english in developing countries compared with, say, Europe. I think here they are really picky on you having a teachers degree and proficiency with the local language.
Have you thought about africa btw? It's grateful work and the students are supposed to be really enthousiastic about learning."... I have promises to keep, And miles to go before I sleep." -R. Frost

Yeah some interesting info itt about teaching English in another country, I didn't know you didn't have to know the local language (I'd feel like an ass not knowing it, though). But the threadshitting made it even better so I have no idea what this is supposed to mean:

Aww ConcreteChild you're already done when the argument was just getting interested..? I guess I won't bother replying now that you're out of this thread heh.
EDIT: I always talk like this, might be hard for some of the people here to understand but that's not my problem. I don't try to convince anyone on SS that I'm smart; I know I'm smart and that's all that matters. And seeing how the idiots on this thread have nothing better to do but talk about the words I use even though I try to speak as plain as possible, I'm out as well.Last edited by Ward; 05-09-2007, 02:55 PM.1:Kthx> Hey Cower ill let you play the next game if you can name me five medieval weapons.

Maybe the first year is a joke where you study, but it hardly is over here. It's not that hard but hardly a joke.
Edit: If I am correct, in the high up parts of our high school (the highest levels and last years) we already have English curriculum running, so courses being taught in English. I wouldn't be surprised if you could teach the last few years in High School in English without knowing Dutch. I know that my teacher in the last few years only spoke English during class. He is Dutch and he speaks Dutch, but he refused to use it during class. It was all English.Last edited by Galleleo; 05-09-2007, 03:37 PM.Maybe God was the first suicide bomber and the Big Bang was his moment of Glory.

As for undergrad which I assume Ward is in, it's nothing special. The best undergraduate business-type program in Canada is the commerce program at Queen's University. It's one of the few programs where McKinsey and Company will hire someone straight from undergrad (as they did my friend).
Schulich is a decent school, but it's not really that spectacular. Just lots of rich Jewish kids there, so if you're Jewish and really want to take business as your major in university it's a good place to make contacts. Other than that, their entrace requirements are pretty low compared to most other good programs anywhere.
So Ward probably isn't taking a MBA program. Just some random business major.Epinephrine's History of Trench Wars:
