so assuming all my plans of grandeur and fame do not pan out, i'm going to have to take my English degree and put it to good use.
my first course of action will be leaving the country.
i definitely want to land somewhere in europe and teach english. i'm just not sure on what steps i have to take to actually do that. i don't know what i need, i just thought "graduating college" was good enough but those bastards want even more of my money, but i have no idea what the difference is between a degree, a master's, a bachelor's, and a phD.
so if i could get some input:
-what level of education do i need to teach the equivalent of American high school?
-What level would I need to teach colleges?
-do i need to speak a foreign language?
-How much do I need as far as initial money - how much would I need to get set up and comfy somewhere?
-How much could I make? How much would I have to make in order to live comfortably, middle-class-ish?
-For that matter, what's a good city or country to live in? Where will i get the least shit about being American? My ideal city would be shreveport-sized (200k people) or less, and fairly modern. All answers in this category must also include a guess on the amount of Asian females per square mile (a/pm).
Like I said, I definitely want to wind up being a teacher.. but I'd also love to not live in America. I specified europe earlier, but I'm open to suggestions, especially Canada.
