Why so complicated?

I edited a video on Adobe Premier Pro 3 (downloaded the trial version from the adobe website.)

Why is it so hard for me to get it onto a DVD or disc or CD or whatever. I've tried so many ways, yet either the quality is crap or it just wouldn't record onto it.

If anyone has any tips or ways, it'd be much appreciated.

nope i used a version too and tried to do a very basic editing with my tv card where i took the mpeg-2 and cut a section out took out the sound and replaced it with a mp3 soundtrack

yet it was very hard for me too cut at the frame i wanted to and when i rendered it it messed up the colours ... i thought this would be a simple sort of ntsc/pal thingy but as i delved deeper it just got a horrible mess and seemed to have loads of protections for things like dvd's mpeg-2 and in the end i decided it wasn't worth my while learning it so i gave up and tried a less complicated program.

i've no doubts its a very powerful program but i found it a lot less intuitive than photoshop but i've not had any training so that is probably the main issue

still for simple things you'd think it would be easy enough to import a mpeg-2 clip etc...

I usually create the video file (a pretty big file) and then burn it separately with a burningy program, but I don't use Premier, so my two cents are probably worthless.

How about transferring the file to another dvd burning program? When I did it, it just came out a crappy quality.

I just export to DVD. I never had that problem
