That article is rather skimpy because I wrote it knowing as little as I could find out. Details were being withheld as police investigated. Perhaps someone living closer to the Atlanta area where they lived can tell us more from local news accounts.Originally posted by Squeezer View PostWait...that article is rather skimpy. How were they found dead? Is this a homicide, or C02 Poisoning?
More details please....Anyone?
Pretty sad though. RIP

No, it's for real real....
And Vince came out and was talking about reality and what not, so it's good they're not continuing on with the Vince is dead storyline.
And searching yahoo news for "Chris Benoit" comes up with Fox, ABC, MSNBC, and other news reports of Benoit's death.
I'm wish I caught the beginning of the this (I missed like the first 45 minutes 'cause I don't watch it anymore)... I can still remember Owen Hart's RAW special...
Anyways, as a wrestler I never really liked him simply because he used to be ECW and what not, so when he came to the (what was then) WWF I didn't like him and it went on (I was strictly WWF). But, you have to respect individuals like him with such raw talent and dedication to the game.
Edit: On a slightly side note, is that one oil (sludge) commercial with the kid in the drive-through the kid that played Goldberg in the "Mighty Ducks?" (that commercial was just on)

Holy fuck ... that's like ... wow. One side of me wants to believe this is another WWE joke, because I haven't seen it in the news at all. But, wow, he was definitely one of the greats and will be missed.

Tonight one WWE RAW: THE FIRST EVER STINGRAY MATCH
But seriously its hard to take this shit seriously, its like the boy who cried wolf, probaly some bullshit. They will come back from the dead during a match and the arena will go dark with explosive pyrotechnics everywhere, and fog will cover the arena, and Chris will be like "OMFG MY WIFE AND KIDS BUT HOW"Last edited by kthx; 06-25-2007, 08:39 PM.

Wrestler Chris Benoit and family found dead in home
Edmonton-born WWE wrestler Chris Benoit, his wife Nancy and their son Daniel were found dead in their home.
Known as the Canadian Crippler, Benoit had a long and distinguished career in federations around the world and was one of the most respected among his peers. His hard-nosed style and technical skills were his calling cards. Though it is no secret that wrestling is a staged sport, Benoit had style in the ring that felt very realistic. Because of his tenacity, he was also known called the Rabid Wolverine.
Benoit's death comes at an awkward time for the WWE which had just started a controversial storyline where the owner of the company was presumed dead after a car explosion. The company had been playing that death as real, but with the real death of an active and highly regarded wrestler, many would say continuing on with the charade would be in poor taste. Tonight's episode of Raw was supposed to be a tribute to the "death" of WWE chairman Vince McMahon, but will now be a real tribute to Benoit.
The death of Benoit and his family comes after the passing of another wrestling icon, Sherri Martel who died on the 15th. Eddie Guerrero, another active WWE wrestler and a very close friend of Benoit's, was found dead in a hotel room in 2005.
Benoit trained in the famous "dungeon" of the wrestling Hart family, which has also seen its share of tragedies in recent years, including the death of Owen Hart in the ring in 1999, mother Helen Hart in 2001, and patriarch Stu Hart in 2003. Bret Hart, the most famous product of the family, suffered a stroke in 2002.
