So these mosquito's are really bothering my nightsleep lately.

When I lived in the caribbean, I had the airco in the bedroom, so I never had any problems. However, since holland doesnt get over 60F in the fucking month of july, there is obviously no need for airco, nor a fan.

Anyways.
Lemon-smell seems to only work for a few hours.

Q 1: Who of you has some good advice/ stuff (what brand) against them?
Q 2: Could you see a musquito with a night vision/heat vision goggle ??? (or only once they have sucked blood out of you?)

Last year there were very few mosquitos, now a bit more but not that annoying!!

Living with someone who has a blood type more attractive to the mosquitos also helps.

growing up in the southeast US with a serious mosquito problem, I found shutting doors and windows to be the most effective method (like abstinence for STDs) but aside from that, I've seen the most positive results from citronella distributing devices: either candles or scent releasers, things along those lines.

and, im the one with the more "attractive blood type" (i asume you mean sweat, since that's what attrack them: so appearantly i sweat more) so it works... but not for me.

igno: from what i read, the citronella make them dissy/confused for a little bit (scares them away outside) but indoors, they get used to it after a few hours and then they are after you anyways. Or do you have other experiances? Do you know any products/brand that work? Or do you happen to have night vision goggles or know someone (and would that work?)

get a sleeping bag zip it all the way up to your face, and over your face put a net like telcat said but on the inside of the sleeping bag so they dont get in or try deet

ik heb muggengaas voor mijn ramen gespannen.. werkt heel eenvoudig, klittenband-plakstroken rondom je raamkozijn plaatsen en dan het gaas ervoor en netjes afknippen.. het is goedkoop en vrijwel overal verkrijgbaar! ik heb een hekel aan klamboes en een fan is idd geen optie in nederland.

een andere optie is een hor plaatsen in je raam? dit zou eventueel ook nog kunnen in je slaapkamerdeur, wel een beetje vreemd, maar dan ben je 100% zeker hermetisch afgesloten van muggen!

voor mij is gaas voldoende, ik ben altijd te pineut wat betreft muggen, maar heb er in mijn kamer de laatste 3 jaar maar een enkele gezien...

en als je sprays wil moet je van die zeer sterke tropenshit halen die ruiken als motorolie en waarvan je 100% zeker weet dat je huidkanker krijgt. werkte zelfs in tanzania redelijk. :P

Je kunt natuurlijk gewoon Horren voor je ramen laten installeren, zoals wij hebben laten doen.

Daarnaast gebruik ik tijdens het golfen altijd een Autan stick, smeer je gewoon op je armen enzo, werkt goed. Weet alleen niet of dat indoor en tijdens de hele nacht ook werkt.

die sprays had ik ja, maar die zijn in nl verboden (we houden hier van regeltjes he). een vette kakkerlak was binnen 2 tellen dood ermee =)

ik zat te denken om die hitte verrekijkers te kopen om die fuckers op te sporen. zou wel komisch zijn want dan kunnen ze wegvliegen wat ze willen; je vindt ze dan toch (mits een mug zonder bloed hitte afgeeft?).

En voor het slapen gaan een autan stick opsmeren is a) ranzig om in te slapen b) zal niet echt de erotische gevoelens stimuleren bij mijn skatje. c) dan leg ik het probleem bij mij neer. die mug moet last hebben, niet ik.

dat plakgaas is wellicht een goedkopere en betere optie ja, thx. gewoon blokker of edah neem ik aan!?

avon's skin so soft works well in keeping them off with the smell alone (which isnt unpleasant). and being that its a skin care product, fine to use whenever. look into that. also, as what others said, citronella candles

I can't really provide any solutions to your problem, I usually just use some spray but that would probably suck to use every night. But I'm pretty sure mosquitoes detect our presence by the carbon dioxide we emit when exhaling, not by sweat. Although I suppose there might be some mosquitoes that are attracted to sweat like you said?
