You misunderstood. Absurdism is to agree that there is no meaning to our life. But an absurd hero is one that acknowledges this but finds happiness nonetheless. You can be happy all the time, and you find yourself reasons to be happy, although you are basically fooling yourself.
It's very well possible to dislike people, because they have no reason to be there, you just try to find happiness in your surroundings. Being moved by things might be the only reason for life, which isn't actually a meaning.

Coming fresh off an amazing LSD trip, I tend to believe that there is no purpose save what you create for yourself. Nietzche went on to say you overcome nihilism this way, though I'm not a Nietzche hack so I couldn't tell you the name of his specific concept, but I believe it has to do with self-denial or fooling yourself, or something. I acknowledge that there is no "purpose" for life, but that's no reason to embrace nihlism. It's easily to fall into a self-defeating loop that destroys reason for action or existence (lysergic acid is really great at helping you get around given constants), but that's no reason for me to live my life that way. fooling yourself into purpose is a pretty convenient way to keep humanity going. One of my trip buddies explained it as more of a "the secret to life is in the journey and not the destination", and i'd say that's about right, but not quite what i'm trying to say.
