  • paradise, you are required to just accept that.

Because it's not their fault, it's the immigration system, the entire economy system, and you the consumer.

I don't get why this has turned into a discussion like this. When you fail at what you do, you quit/get fired, and do something to suits you better.

A person with no legs can't be a pro runner.
A blind person can't be a map reader.
A person who can't communicate can't work in a job where this is required.

That's simplistic though....a person who knows a few words can work in a McDonalds - you forgo your right to perfect communication when you pay 3.99 for a meal.

      • My girlfriend doesn't eat meat. Some dude at McD asked her if she wanted bacon on her fish. She said no, and that she didn't eat meat. Not so surprisingly: She got bacon on it.

I'm not saying that they should be able to have a broad conversation, but I'm saying that stories like we've read here is crossing the line. When you have to pay for food you do not want, then something fails, and it isn't you the big greedy consumer.

Oh, and prices are 14$ and up here.

I realize you can't put everything in simple lay terms but in many cases there are many ways to achieve a higher level of simplicity.

Big words and long, confusing sentences in communication do no one any good, unless you're trying to impress someone smarter than you.
i disagree with that, sophisticated words sometimes help describe abstract concepts, through the use of simple words we can only convey simple ideas.

          • Alright since MHZ and paradise! commented on the same issue, let me reply:

I forgot to mention but I do understand that there's a limit to how simple a complicated topic can be made. I recognize that you cannot explain quantum theory in layman's terms but there are different degrees of clarity with which you can describe it and my point is that one should always aim for the simplest and clearest solution to accommodate the reader.
