i can kind of relate to a lot of the stuff you said, but you seem a (whole) lot more verbal than me. i can easily pick up stuff like physics and chemistry, but i find myself pretty slow witted in conversation and for that reason i am horrible at verbal argument. i usually need time to think things over. i have always being kind of 'the observer.' i am more likely to listen to a group's conversations than really take part in them. i also have the same voracity for knowledge on a wide range of things, but this has kind of led me to knowing a little about a lot. and i hate indirect, chit chatty bull shit (then again a lot do). i've recently begun to attribute these traits to being an INTP (myers briggs shit), and that's probably enough to explain it. anyway, i got a 23 on the test, which implies very very slightly more autistic than average. not that this test necessarily means anything. you seem to know a lot about this though. how did you find out that you were autistic when you were 18 years old?

oh and btw jerome, amen. im sitting in english class today our teacher talks about emerson and when she asks for peoples opinions one of my classmates throws together an incoherent collection of words to tone of " well i think like, that umm like emerson ya like he was kinda deep thinkin ya know? and like he was like ya kinda weird"

Hull sucks. Don't take AP next year. If you want the credit you can pay to take the AP test but for the love of God don't take her class.

Me, though sometimes I can be really sharp and witty with comments... other times Ill be like 5 minutes later and go: omg I should have said that.

The biggest thing I kinda dislike about myself, is that I feel that I am kind of creative, but I can't start it myself. I can't create something out of nothing, but if I get a little nudge in a direction, a rough idea of something. I am pretty good at thinking up all kinds of variations and building it out further and bigger. The whole brainstorming thing.. I just can't do it without an initial idea.

Just take electives at CSCC or OSU through PSEO and then pay the $70 or whatever to take the AP test at the end of the year. Or just not take the AP test and do PSEO and get the college credit without having to take the test.

ive taken special ed courses for my major in uni and by 3 years old when they take him to goto school there will be a vision and hearing test giving by the school nurse/psychologist. after that if there are any marked disabilities in hearing or vision they will proceed with IQ tests and such to determine the underlying problem. probably best to do it as early as possible

i actually am horrible at math, and excel at english, literature, history... etc. it took me 4 years to pass algebra 1, but on standardized tests i've never made below a 97%, and my ACT score was a thirtysomething.

being diagnosed at 18 was weird, considering my mother is a psychologist/social worker who works with autistic kids. but my best (and only) friend for a few years was a really outgoing kid, and we hung out with alot of people so i guess i learned to be relatively ok, and i considered myself relatively popular in high school, so i never had to deal with meeting people, because people were always like "oh, you're that guy, i've heard alot about you", etc

but yeah, it's weird, i am fascinated with numbers and patterns, but i can't do anything higher than algebra 2 without being a fucktard.
