If you're running XP, IE 6 runs better than 7 on XP. If you do get Vista, it'll run very well long as you have 2gb+ of ram. The lack of buttons is quite nice if you don't like a massive amount of clutter. Might as well try it for a few days and give it a shot, no harm in switching back if you don't like the product.May my ambition be, more love of Christ to thee.

But I don't think I will take the GUI in consideration much. The only things I really use on Firefox are the tabs, the error-screen the address bar and the links.
I don't see how Firefox really excels in those, except for the fact that Firefox allows me to have unnamed links, which is great because a favicon is sufficient.
Internet Explorer tells me I need to name my fast link. Which pisses me off.
I've been working with html, css, javascript enough to know how terrible IE6 and IE5 are. But I rather look unbiased at the current version of a product. Microsoft had good reasons not to develop their browser further until lately.
For me performance is most important. Lately I had some javascripts where Firefox's rendering is slow and buggy
It sometimes crashes when working with alot of video and audio, and I only have 3 add-ons.
I have no viruses, spyware, malware on my computer.
So again, I am asking for people with experience of using IE7 and latest Firefox versions. I don't mind feedback like "I installed IE7, looks like crap, not using it", but you can't really expect someone to take that into consideration. You ate some priest porridge

I have no agenda against Microsoft or anything, and maybe it has to do with that I am not such a HUGE computer geek (as in know coding and all kinds of stuff about computers). But, as I said earlier, I have to use IE7 for some sites cause they don't work properly in firefox. And I really just don't like the whole interface and user thing. 2 big buttons for going back and forth, 2 for favourites and the rest you to go and find on your own.
Also, and this is just me probably, but when you open a new tab and it goes like: You've opened a new tab! as if I am some kind of child and I have made a huge accomplishment.. And I really just don't like the looks (I am really more geared towards the looks of things then how they work. Like cars for instance, I know nothing about engines nor really care for them, I am mainly just concerned with how it looks and how it drives).Maybe God was the first suicide bomber and the Big Bang was his moment of Glory.

I used to work with IE for years. I'm using Firefox only for few months...
After you get used to Firefox, it is very difficult to return to IE. At first you don't feel the different, but after a while, FF speed, comfortability and stability are much better.
I have nothing against Microsoft. I don't see myself replacing my Win Xp with something else in the near future.

I too have been having trouble with crashes on FF lately. I don't even have any add-on plug ins except adobe acrobat and flash. I'm not sure about IE7 though, never really liked the interface, but it seems okay enough whenever I do use it.Epinephrine's History of Trench Wars:
