  • The latest movies you've seen

What has been the latest movie you've seen in the movie theater, TV or on PC
that you would like to recommend for others? Genres don't matter, anything
that's worth watching in your opinion goes. Posting an IMDb.com link would be
nice also. And how about a little review if you have the time and will! Always
appreciated. Personally I often watch my movies on PC through TV, sometimes
even sooner than the movie comes to cinemas . But don't post any warez
links or info, I don't think it's allowed on these forums.

Last one I saw in the Theatre was Cloverfield. I liked it, though I do think that watching in the movie theatre makes it better than at home (unless you have an extremely expensive home cinema set).

Latest movies I bought on DVD (Yes I actually buy DVDs)

      Bourne Ultimatum : Excellent
Evan Almighty : Not as good as Bruce Almighty.
I now pronounce you Chuck and Larry : Not bad
      Disturbia : Mwah
      Fracture : Pretty good movie
Hot Fuzz (already saw in the theatre though) : I like it
      Ladder 49 : Not bad
License to wed : The office meets Robin Williams.
      Outlaw : Terrible
Ratatouille : What can I say, I like Disney
      Reign over me : Excellent
Rescue Dawn : I just have a lot of respect for Christian Bale after seeing the Machinest
Maybe God was the first suicide bomber and the Big Bang was his moment of Glory.

        Movies I've seen recently:

Across the Universe - great movie, it's a musical that uses only beatles songs. They also portray janis joplin and jimi hendrix, and they have a couple good cameo's; really trippy too.

Finding Neverland - I'm a big johnny depp fan (before fucking pirates, ima talkin bout edward scissor hand, and fucking fear and loathing kind of j. depp) and I thought this was a pretty good movie, really sad at the end though.

Family Guy Blue Harvest - it's their take on the first star wars movie (technically it's part 4, but it was the first to be made). Funny as hell. That's all I can say about family guy.

Well I'm trying to remember anything else, but I think I officially fried the remaining brain cells I might of had after last night's adventure (damn that was some good weed).

I just did a small George Clooney kick and watched Syriana and Good Night, and Good Luck. Both required you pay a lot of attention to the movie, and I loved every minute of both of them.

Stardust was great! It's kind of like The Princess Bride, but better imo.

i saw Juno, it was actually a really entertaining movie. Very funny in most places. And it had a low budget feel which kind of envelops you a little more.

Eastern Promises, was a little meh, not really sure of how much i enjoyed the movie. It did have one of the best fight scenes in it. Two guys attack the main star (Viggo Mortinson) with knives in a steam room, and they almost get him, but he ends up killing them both allwhile being totally naked!

Gone baby Gone. I say this movie affected me, i don't know how or what it did but it made me feel quite uneasy. I don't want to give the story away but seriously creeped me out near the end. Also when the child molester gets his comeupings...

                    Stargate: The Ark of Truth.

The first of the two straight to DVD releases. It did an awesome job at tying up the loose (this is how to use this word, fuckers, you don't loose a game) ends from the Ori arc. One of the most entertaining movies I've seen in a long while.

I saw Mr. Brooks yesterday, I thought it would be better, ending is weird.. but overall doable.

And I saw Superbad, good movie, it kinda seemed like you just saw a day out of a high school kids life without like a clear beginning and end story. Though that was not really a problem. It was a good comedy, but I dont rate it higher than Dodgeball, Wedding Crashers or 40-year old virgin.

                          Watched 3 films last night:

Comet Impact - Straight to TV/DVD film about...you guessed it! Was mindlessly enjoyable mainly because I wasn't exactly expecting a blockbuster. It overused the bloom/everything-is-kinda-brown effect you've grown to love in modern video games.

Without Warning - Continued the theme, this film is done in the style of a news report starting with three asteroids impacting earth. Very well made and I believe when it was originally shown (94) some people actually thought it was real.

Sunshine - For a UK film, it has remarkably few (read: none) British actors. Was an enjoyable film though. Quite slow paced, I would kinda describe it as a slightly quicker/"louder" cross between 2001 and Solaris.

All in all, I think Without Warning was the most enjoyable, closely followed by Sunshine with Comet Impact just kinda acting as an appetiser.
