I found it dissapointing that, especially Jon Steward, followed the autocue so closely (or at least seemed to), I was hoping for more from him.

And I was hoping for more Awards for Juno, but having to compete with No Country for Old Men and There Will be Blood.. not easy.

Honest to blog, Juno had better writing than Michael Clayton and Ratatouille put together. Christ.

There will be Blood and Michael Clayton both slipped under the radar, not bad movies but I still thought other movies shined through these. Juno was and should have been a definite win.
it makes me sick when i think of it, all my heroes could not live with it so i hope you rest in peace cause with us you never did

No Country for Old Men > all 2007 movies.
Juno was without a doubt the best comedy, and Ellen Page was fantastic, but it didn't call for the same skills as No Country or There Will Be Blood

Juno was the best written movie this year, and it was awarded for such.

Best movie definitely had to be either No Country for Old Men, or There Will be Blood. Juno was good, but those two movies were fairly flawless.

Boring year for movies overall, wasn't really excited about seeing anything win this time around. No comedies really made it to the next level. There was no oscar-whoring LOTR-type movie or anything... I dunno, it just seemed that No Country For Old Men (fine movie) only won based on the lack of competition?

ah well... at least I called one of them. DDay Lewis was far better in there will be blood than any of the other nominees anyway.
