    Modded WII question.

    If I were to buy a modded WII, could I still buy games to get the online experience? Does the mod itself remove all of the online play for all games? It's the only way to get Smash Bros before the vacation.

    I made a new thread because I realized that this was urgent!

        Nintendo just released an update that warned that it would prevent modified Wii systems from going online.

            They've had this warning since the first update for the Wii. To really tell if an update affects your Wiikey, make sure you read about it in a discussion forum somewhere on the net. Someone will undoubtedly post about the effects of the new Wii updates when concerned with the wiikey, then you can decide whether or not to accept the updates or decline them as you see fit.

                  We decided on buying a regular WII, and then getting the US version of Brawl with a freeloader.
