  • would you gain 100lbs for $100,000?

    If no, then how much?

To answer my own question: I don't think it's possible for me to gain 100lbs, since it's taken me 6-7 years to gain 20lbs, and most of that came from after I joined the workforce and now I'm leveled out again.

But if it were possible, I'd still say no to 100k. Maybe yes to a mil. Def yes to 10 mil. Then I'd lose it all.

I wouldn't do it. I care too much about my body and all the health risks involved for gaining 100 lbs. I think this would push everyone into the obese weight class, and that's definitely not something that can be worked off in a short period of time. This cannot possibly be something that money can compensate for.

I probably would, but that shit takes over time, so I will be working out while I am gaining that weight. Didn't have to say it has to be fat.

and if it did, I might as well get some muscle and make the fat look at lean as I can so maybe I can learn how to be a DL or OL on a football team.

No way for $100,000. I pride myself on my body too much.

I would consider it for more than $100,000 but I don't know if I could put an exact number on it. It would have to be enough to cover the food I'd eat, plastic surgery afterwards (that extra skin doesn't just disappear after you gain weight... you have to get it surgically removed), money for a trainer and gym memberships and home workout equipment and etc for afterwards, and then triple all that. Maybe then I would consider it. But still, I dunno. I don't think I could get obese even if I tried because of my disorded eating history.

Its no extra skin, your skin gets stretched, and if you lose weight in a sensible way and work out and stuff it wont be that bad, and if I am correct, eventually it gets less and less. But if you lose an insane amount of weight in a short period of time, then you do need surgery for it.

It wouldn't be worth it until you hit the 5 mil range. For me personally anyways. 100k isn't going to pay for any health related issues you have, yet alone all the extra food and shit.

I know it's not extra skin, but it's stretched out skin, which becomes extra skin. And you can't gain 100 pounds and then lose it quickly enough to prevent the skin from stretching. And no matter how gradually you lose the weight again, the skin can't regain the elasticity that you lost in that time. If I gained 100 pounds I'd be almost doubling my weight, and I can assure you that that would include a lot of extra skin/stretched out skin that wouldn't go away without surgery. Just like how if you get a split end it can't repair itself... stretched out skin can never gain all of its elasticity back.

The food that I'd have to eat to gain that much would cost me 50 000 alone

But seriously, 100 lbs (45kg) isn't that much if you think of it, not that hard to shake off either.

That would put you to my current weight..well I am in between 235 - 240.

What I may have missed, is there a time limit as to how long you have to gain such weight?

Squeezer, you can definately do it in time if you work out and make it a lifestyle change.

I may weigh as much as I do, but I am also 6' tall and have a 36" waist. I see people that weigh less than me and they look as if they should weigh 100 lbs more than me. Muscle weight vs. slob fat weight. Helps that I also hit the gym every other day and am a personal trainer on the side..so far on the side that I only train myself.
May your shit come to life and kiss you on the face.
