Just because some guys do that, doesn't mean all guys do that. IF I would, for whatever reason, get my girlfriend pregnant at a bad time in our lives, I want a say in that too. I would let her opinion way more than mine, but I would want a say too.

Unfortunately you cannot create laws based on that. There is absolutely no way to accurate rate if the guy is equally supportive or whatever or not, so the default should be given to the woman. In real-life I'm sure if you're in a good relationship the girl will listen to your thoughts as well so it won't be an issue.

There is no need to put it in a law that it is a woman's right to choose, you can just make a law that states that abortion is not illegal and that there is a right to chose to have it.

Gall, that's basically what there already is. And if you think about it, having that means exactly what I'm talking about, meaning that if it's legal and the woman has a choice, then legally the man has no ability to stop it.

As long as its not put down in writing that it is the woman's choice, I am sure the guy has a legal basis to stop it, were it possible to have a trial and stuff in such a short period of time.

All I mean to say is, that it should not be put in writing (Law) that it is ONLY a woman's choice to make, because once you do exactly that you take away ALL basis for guys to have any say in the matter. Like the law is now, it just says that abortion is legal under certain circumstances, etc. but without explicitly saying its only a woman's right, there is still basis for the guy in there.

It's a sin to use God's name the way you do, you might reconsider your actions before you appear before Him. There is a big difference between the judgement of man and the judgement of God, and there is no way you arrogant fool will know what the Lord thinks of the person you might see as a sinner. There is a reason He gave us free choice, and did not give anyone -not even Jesus- the power to affect that. How can you enter heaven if you were never able to make your own choices? How can you be judged when you never had the opportunity to make any mistakes?

i just don't get it. most people that would assume themselves as (dare I lump myself and you into this group) intellectuals seem to have the same view point on this. it's the individuals choice, it's the individual's right to privacy to allow her to do any operation she wishes.

fuck off, she's not hurting you or anyone else by choosing to do it. personally you can object, and you have a girlfriend you don't want to have an abortion you can talk to her about this and try to convince her, but you have no right at all interfere with anyone else's life like that. just keep your opinions to yourself and let people be.

I completely agree with that stance on abortion but I think you're wrong about Paul. He argued for States Rights on the issue as prescribed in the Constitution, and because he believes that document does not apply to any other entity then the Federal Government (correct me if I am wrong) I believe the State may do what it wishes... privacy be damned. The 'We the People Act' of his would remove any right to abortion based on privacy.
