yeah i bought a cd player from best buy ages ago with that stupid clamshell packaging. I tried to return it for another one that worked (aka an exchange) and they tried to charge me a 15% restocking fee. It was an expensive cd player, and the fee was damn near 10 dollars. I couldn't see how some cheap plastic that you can't get open without destroying should cost me 10 dollars when they're not even gonna buy a new package to put it in; they're just gonna wrap it in tape.

I said if they didn't exchange my merchandise for shit that worked, at no extra cost, then I'd never go back to their store, costing them hundreds of dollars in the long run. Of course they had a good laugh, and I've never bought anything at Best Buy again.

What's so damn inconvienient about cardboard boxes and styrofoam?
