The race should be real close this year... really fucking close.

As much as it pains me to say this, it wont be close if Obama offers the Hildog a VP spot.

I don't want her as VP, but together they would get 70-75% of the country's votes. She'd be much better suited to serve as Sec. of State or something where she can help oversee healthcare (which she knows a ton about) and out of the public spotlight.

Also she's crazy, but not as crazy as McCain. PANCAKES!

You know..I've always wondered why 'campaigning' makes a big difference. I know what a person is going to stand for (at least as well as I reasonably can seeing as how much they have a tendency to lie) well before the election is coming around. Its not like the old days, where you might not know what someone stands for unless they come to your city and tell you. All hes doing is saying the same shit over and over again at different locations. If people want to buy into what hes saying they'll do that anyway. Why would going to one town make an impact in the grand scheme of things?

Also, I agree with you on this.

Campaigning is a huge waste of money which would be better placed elsewhere. Give a few speeches, have a couple of debates and be done with it. Those funds could go to better causes than simply, "elect ME!".

I love also when idiots make up statistics that are based entirely on what they want to happen. You all are forgetting that a very large part of this country is republican. On top of that, I dont think that the south is going to vote for a black president. You watch too much cnn lol. We'll see come election time. Campaigning puts yourself out there, it gives yourself an opportunity to make face time with the general public. I know it's a lot of money but it's necessary for the candidates to promote themselves while meeting the general public. I'd like to think people are open minded and party lines don't exist, but they clearly do. I'd vote for a republican/conservative even though I've always voted Liberal, it doesn't matter what party someone is on, it only matters if they will do a better job then the other person. For the reason that there are people who just don't focus on one or two issues it is necessary to promote yourself as much as possible, you need to break down party lines to win this shit.

If I voted based on party then we could have a crazy fucking liberal that had lots of good ideas, but that really wouldn't change the fact that he's fucking crazy. I'd rather take my time and make a critical analysis on the candidates opposed to solely focusing on the issues.

Hilldog - deceiving and power hungry. This lady has been riding off the coat tails of Bill for a long time, her 'experience' was mostly ceremonial meetings. She's not exactly the worst candidate but I still wouldn't give her my vote.

McCain - shaking hands with the devil, how could he think getting George W Bush to endorse his candidacy would help him? He's not an idiot but he seems to be pushing to stay in Iraq, which heavily has to do with the sense of failure from Vietnam. Let's let a pro-war veteran that believes we should 'stay the course' be president, NAT.

Obama - Class, a person that could open lines of communications with our 'enemies', a guy heavily criticized for lack of foreign policy experience clearly shows more of a understanding on how to tackle foreign policy, so much more than any other candidate. Understands the 'ills' of all races, can relate and understand to most people. A strong willed person that has got where he is by hard work, intelligence and charisma. He's not a Kennedy, Bush, or a Clinton, his name is his own and he will make it what it is.

Seriously though, I think this election will pretty much be minorities/extreme liberals vs moderate/conservative whites. We may not lose this go around, but it will happen eventually, as we are beginning to be outnumbered.
