With Hillary Clinton taking her last gasp as South Dakota and Montana vote, we should stop a moment and thank the Democrat Party for doing it once again. Yes, that's right. Once again the Democrats are choosing the candidate who will not win. Barack Hussein Obama, barring an October surprise, will lose in November. Here are a few reasons why:

1. Obama is a radical socialist. The American people are not. See his voting record in the Senate for proof.

2. Obama is a black nationalist. His 20 year membership in Trinity United Church of Christ exemplifies his views. Video

3. Obama sympathizes with anti-American terrorists. Bill Ayers, unrepentant terrorists, remains a mentor to Obama.

alright, you guys are obviously missing the sarcastic intent of that post. i don't really think all northerners are whatever i said (i really could give less of a fuck about the north, i'm content).

but apparently, calling all southerners deep-rooted closet racists is ok, but accuse a northerner of sipping a latte and have the whole community breathe down your back within seconds.

I don't think it's a stereotype to say abortion, gay marriage ect... are issues that a southern candidate would exploit and can be defined as such, Ron Paul doesn't seem too or at least not as often as his colleagues.

Southern politics have always been a mean-streak of overbearing morality and crazy radicals. The Media likes to harp on our crazies, but Ron Paul's politics are another branch of southern politics... hence why Bob Barr, another Southerner, is also running libertarian. Up until very recently that side of Southern politics has been shunned/ignored by the Media because yeah, nationwide it's not relevant, but as a Southerner who lives in the South, allow me to kindly disagree with you.

Here is an mp3 by a guy I'm sure you might not agree with, but it's about libertarianism and the Southern tradition. You'll find that historically, the libertarian streak is a very consistent Southern position.

i think abortion and gay marriage are topics every candidate must exploit. These are the issues that separate two cadidates, because most of what they're gonna do is the same. It's just that traditionally republicans are less likely to have an open debate on these subjects, and just preach a conservative message (even if their daughter's gay).

Not at all, there are many Democrats who are not left leaning latte drinking hippies. They must only do so if the atmosphere is geared towards such things and even then it does degrade the discourse and your hope for humanity.

Take the Conservative Party of Canada as an example, they attempted to push through a bill banning gay marriage but failed, a majority of Canadians are not interested in such issues and I think most "normal" people South, North, East, West American don't either. They want affordable heath care, a decent job without destroying or degrading their bodies, social justice, and basic respect. Not another corporate bailout, not another tax check, a finger wagged in their face for wanting out of their shitty situation.

All I said was that Ron Paul isn't THE candidate of the South. He's (was) a candidate from the south but, for whatever reason, you guys obviously chose not to elect him. He didn't win the South (or anywhere really) so how can you call him the candidate that was "given" to us Northerners.

I don't really want create such a divisive atmosphere in this thread, I just don't think it's fair to hold yourself in such high regard and act like Ron Paul was the secret cure-all that this country feigned to take advantage of because we were afraid he's too "radical." lol, we (my city, not the state/county) voted in april to get rid of that ban on beer/wine on sundays. (no liquor still) 1 of 4 cities in the state to lift the ban. maybe next year, stores will be able to sell clothes before 1 pm ! hurray progress !

i hear in FL, you can go to drive-through liquor stores.

Maybe this is just a difference in the type of person we are, but I see a lot more morally wrong with going to war and killing other human beings than having secks with a dog.

I know Paul could never have realistically won. In "The Road To Serfdom", there is a section called "Why the Worst get to the Top".
