Jim Webb might be a good choice. He has military experience Obama can turn to when McCain wants to play dirty, he's against the Iraq war and he's more moderate on issues like gun control.

I don't see that happening in noting that his seat in VA is something that would not be sacraficed. They need to keep as many if not all of the Dem. seats in Congress and the Senate to maintain a majority.

I was thinking that it will be a Governor or even perhaps retiring (R) Chuck Hagel. Hagel and Obama have been on the same page for awhile now & it would draw votes away from the GOP.
