    the problem is that federal laws trump state laws so you can focus on all the things that you agree on but eventually there will be something a state doesn't agree with, and this is when they are aggressively or politely told to shut the fuck up. The federal government holds the real power and any state or province that wishes to challenge that power loses.

    If you agree to let a government body hold executive powers over your country you basically just gave up your rights, regardless if you're part of a union or country.
