alrighty, the important one first.
The FRA-law has, naturally, caused a political storm in Sweden. Pretty much no one under 30 accept the law and the consequences of this will be devastating for those who agreed to it. Its likely that the ruling party has ruined their chances to be re-elected for a very long time. More than 15 % of the population has already protested in different forms and its increasing every day. Several countries has sent formal protests to the swedish government and every youth party in the country, yes even those who belong to the parties that agreed to the law, is against it and their leaders are threatening to leave the party.
According to the european union its a violation against the european convention of human rights and it will be reported to this authority very soon (if its going to be neede or if "we" can solve this ourselves before). Swedish security service is against it, the police is against it, minister for justice is against it, newspapers, liberals,socialists,right wingers.. lol everyone is against it and Im pretty sure this will be abolished pretty soon again.

what worries me more than anything else is that the members of our parliament actually approved this and it once again proves that there is a huge gap between our elected and the people and that the quality of our democracy is decreasing.

Yea i was really surprised Sweden would pass such laws as from what i've seen on the web they are really against that sort of law and supportive of freedom of privacy and human rights issues raised from the government being able to spy on information.

I'm sure alot of countries do this , it was introduced in america and others under the guise of the war on terror etc and i'm sure it's been going on breaking the law doing it etc as well.



just found it strange that sweden would introduce it, seemed out of character for the national sterotype i have of them
