Well if you're looking for a full-on mmorpg that's free to play I've played more of them than anyone. Try out Shaiya, Archlord, Rohan, Shadowbane, Metin 2, EVE, 2moons, Anarchy Online, Dark and Light, Fury, Dungeon Runners, Planeshift, Rubies of Eventide, Tibia, Knight Online, Sword of the New World.
I bolded the ones that I enjoyed for more than a week. Sword of the New World was my favorite.

I heard or rather read that Sword of the new world is just an other korean grinding game, though I must say I do enjoy grinding games. I was thinking trying it out, but somehow I just didn't.
If you like mmorpgs, http://www.mmorpg.com/ is the site to check, I believe there is every single mmorpg listed there, free and subscription and ofc micro mmorpgs (cashshop aka free).
I'll share 2 mmorpgs.
Space cowboy (http://www.gamespot.com/pc/rpg/spacecowboy/index.html)
I though it was a quite decent game, much more "realistic" then SS/continuum. Pvp requires as much as skill as in SS, though with a different flavour. I quitted playing that game long time ago, since of great lag. I don't know if the game lags as much as then. I has this "cool" nation system, so pvp is totally different. You choose a nation and fight as a nation.
Cabal online, quite good action-mmorpg. I loved it. Got myself to Lv102, max Lv is 170. Somewhat good storyline, alot of story text, cool dungeons and dungeon bosses. But I haft to admit, the dungeons may get annoying at some point, but the quest rewards are really rewarding. You don't need to do quests though, but then again, you'll stay poor. Some quests are really easy, just click click and done, dialog quests.
Quite fast leveling, which is awesome. Though you need to level your skills as in, leveling skill levels, you can level your skill levels as much as you want. You can actually level them to max whenever you want. Like when you are Lv13. I think its quite a cool system, its rewarding. But don't go out pvping if you dont have decent skill levels. PVP is quite nice, I haven't yet tried Nation wars, so I don't know what to say about that. You get to choose a nation. Some maps are full-pvp while others are simply pve. Though there is a war-channel (the game uses channels, +20 different ones) where you can kill anyone, cept those that are in you nation. Then there are lowbies that aren't yet in a nation, which you can also kill. And you get points from kill people and monsters, which can be used the craft things. Overall, its a good mmorpg, imo. Though, you can only logon if you are from Europe. though that can be bypasses (I think) with proper free-proxy-server. :turned:
Atlantica Online - Link to Site!
Edit: Going to try this game called Atlantica Online. It is a turn based game, kinda like FF I'd say. I kinda like the idea of the battle system, something new on the market, different. That's why I want to try it, just for fun. There will be a closed-beta. It starts at 18th of July (15th of July for Fileplanet users). If you are intrested, get a key from http://contest.mmosite.com/giveaway/atlantica/
Though I recommend that you make an account on mmosite.com, since I noticed that it isn't random generated, but an account-based key. I tried it with bugmenot mmosite.com accounts. So better to make an account to get a key of your own. OBS! Though the best option is to get a key from fileplanet.com, IF you are a paid subscriber!
Even thought the closed beta for the moment, the game will probably be free to play, since it has an item-mall at the site, pointing out that the odds of the game being a micro-based game is quite high. Besides, I don't think most people would even pay-to-play this game. And its a korean mmo, so it is most likely going to be free-to-play.

What was 2moons like? Me and my friend wanted to give a try to either 2moons or 9dragons and we decided to try 9dragons. 9d was quite fun, and we prolly would still play it but just dont have the time (not passion to grind).
9dragons looked great and was fun to play, untill like lvl 50ish. Leveling became way too boring around that level.

2moons I liked for a while because I could level up while afk. But that was when the game first came out. You could make a summoner, summon a strong pet, and go afk for a few hours in a spawn zone and level up. They have since outlawed it and will ban you if they catch you. That's when I quit. I just don't have time to play a game that I can't afk level in Sword of the New World you can afk level, too. But it gets hard after level 50.
royCE and Kahlan,
whats your experience on Rohan? Is it worth a try? I was checking out some videos.. kinda got intrested in the scout class. Though, I'm just wondering if it is a pain in the ass grind? Those games are usually very time-consuming, especially if you get excited about the game. These days I'm quite an casual player, only play now and then, less time-consuming.
The grinding in Rohan is pretty slow for a scout class. The leveling is kinda slow. Grinding takes a while for anyone. I'd suggest going with warrior for being able to take hits, the dragon dude for lots of melee damage, and I chose elf for healing as my character. I could always find a party and I leveled quickly without getting attacked as much. But all-in-all, after a week and a half I was only level 25 or so. (I'm normally incredibly fast on mmorpgs to level so that was low)
Zerzera, nice found. The fun TA provides just never seem to die. though it kinda stop working for me when I got win xp.. and trying it on vista is kinda out of the question. It seems like you really need to bother, to get a old game running. I thought play multiplayer in TA was alot of fun. Especially if you had epic battles that could take around 2 hours.
Kahlan, I'll probably take scout, if I ever start the game. I've installed it, but somehow I just haven't had the feeling to even start it up. The grinding part doesn't sound to promising. I think that must be the slowest leveling rate I've ever heard of. Is it really worth it? :s
Atlantica online - my gaming experience
Did anyone try playing Atlantica Online? I tried it this weekend and I must say it was abit weird in the begining to play turn-based. But as you familirized with the game, the game became quite enjoyable. And from assumptions - that the game is free - this is the first free-cashshop-mmorpg with a player market AND auction house. I was pretty stumbled when I run into that the game has a market. First I thought it was NPC, but then I noticed that the prices was different from eachother.
I want to share one of the features which I like about the game. In the game you get to choose from different mercenaries that can join your party. These cost money, but they stay in your party and levels besides you. You can equip them and upgrade them. As you level your party size grows, though at certain levels. So in the end you can have 9 people in your party, including yourself. Players can't join your party, but players can your party with their party. So if I party with someone, he will come with this party, with himself and his mercenaries. I think was just an overkill when we was 3 players in one party against like 5 monsters. It may seem stupid, but some monster actually have more then 1 party in their group. Yesterday I fought with some boars. And to my suprise I had to fight 12 of em.. with my party of 5. Of course I died, but I wanted to try again. It would have been easier to just team up, but the exp was more temptating then fininshing the quest.
Enchanting in the game is awesome. You can enchant as much as you want to and the items won't break. Though it works like this. You have a sword, to enchant it you need an other sword (same type) and enchant crystal. After enchanting the sword is +1. To get it to +2 you need 2x Sword+1, to get it to +3 you need 2x Sword+2.
I could write alot of things which I like about this game, though that would be a full review and a post that would too long. Though was I can say is that playing the game feels like playing final fantasy. :>
