how can this happen? and no one tries to stop him? I'm no hero, but i don't think i'd sit back and watch a man decapitate another person. I wasn't there so I can't really say what I woulda done, but c'mon that's something you can't sit back and just watch.

If you've ever been on a Greyhound, you'll know there isn't very much room there, so even if they did outnumber him, the aisle's only wide enough for them to approach him one at a time to do anything. Add in the fact he's got a knife, allegedly has a literal taste for blood, and the fact this happened in the middle of the night when many of them may have been trying to sleep as the bus was traveling on a highway in the middle of nowhere, and I can't fault the other passengers for their reactions. The victim was likely dead or on his way there after the start of the attack. If they could have done anything, they likely wouldn't have been able to save his life. All they could have done was stop the mutilation.

Also, like TK said, the victim was probably dead by the time anyone noticed he was being repeatedly stabbed. There's would have been no point in risking another life.

I think that throwing a shoe or rock at the guy would only make him angrier. You've got to understand that the back of the bus is cramped like Troll King said, in a panic of someone being stabbed people are yelling and crowding the aisles trying to gret to the front of the bus. It's pretty impossible to fight a guy at the back of a bus when he has a knife, especially when no one can attack him from behind.
