    Meh I would have to agree with you on this one, maybe we built some sort of.. disabling device into it just in case that happens though..

      The U.S. Is in trillions of dollars in debt, they are absolutely desperate even if it means selling peace of mind. But I bet this is very calculated, U.S. has probably assessed the risk levels etc, hired experts in every possible field, very planned. Then again giving guns to the Afghanis against the Russians turned bad for us, but no one could have forseen that.

        All I have to say, is America NEVER learns from it's history. 9/11 anyone? How do you think they got their training - god everyone knows all the shit the U.S. has dealt out and had to pay for later.               of course it is real but debt has been used to create infastructure and people that support one of the strongest economies in the world. The state earns enough taxes to pay for the debt and make a profit. At least thats how it should be. If you now have a goverment that invests its debt into bancrupt banks ...

              but regarding the missle defense, imho there cant be enough of them around the globe.

                I dont know how smart that would be on the UAE's part, might get a lot of hate from its neighbours. (Iran especially)

                As for the US regretting it and being enemies with the UAE, not likely.
                The UAE is one of the most stable countries in the middle east, and that is not likely to change. The UAE is also very westernized in the way it operates and in how tolerant it is of other cultures.
