  • some movies I am interested in seeing in the distant future

Red State (Big fan of kevin smith movies, he's also directing Zack and Miri Make a Porno which has seth rogan as the lead)

Quantum of Solace; Just can't get enough of 007, don't care what anyone says.

oh and some animes that are going to be live action (These are always hit/miss):
    Death Note

    DragonBall

Both gong to be great, I doubt they'll make another 007 after since I hear that the director called making the movies a pain in the ass. I think he also doesn't get along too well with Craig, but if you like the new 007's and Daniel Craig I suggest Layer Cake, while you wait at least. Great movie, better than Casino Royale IMO.

well as much as I like daniel craig, it still peeves me that he is more blond than any of the other bonds, but he's got more badass in him than most of the other bonds.

As much as everyone is going off actor based when it comes to bond, I just go because I love the character. He was my boy-hood hero (Super secret agent getting ass and kickin it globally, was like logical conclusion of a career next to being batman).

Daniel Craig is the best James Bond since Sean Connery. Pierce did an alright job, but anyone can outdo Roger Moore. I still have no idea why he got to do so many Bond movies. Seriously though, Craig just fits the role perfectly. He's the young Bond - he's still learning. He's kinda messy sometimes, more emotionally attached to his work, he plays the role extremely well. I'm looking forward to the next Bond very much.

I'm looking forward to seeing Passchendaele which was the recent opening night gala for the Toronto International Film Fest. It's an actual Canadian war movie, and it tells a story about a battle that too many Canadians don't know enough about. It's a valuable part of Canadian history, (and Belgian history too, for that matter).

Zack and Miri make a Porno opened at the TIFF this week too, and I hear good things about it. I also hear that the official film poster was banned in the US.

I'm also looking forward to the Watchmen, which looks amazing so far, but another comic book movie coming out that may not draw much notice is The Spirit. It's based on a comic book by one of the genre's greatest, Will Eisner. He's such an important figure in comics, the industry's highest award is named after him. The film's directed by Frank Miller, the guy behind the Dark Knight comic books and Sin City, and the Spirit will be stylistically similar to the Sin City Movie.

I was never a huge fan of Bond movies, but I think Daniel Craig does a fantastic job and he is a great actor (here come the jokes). I think he played a fantastic role in L4YER CAK3. I probably don't get the hole Blond James Bond discussion because I am not a die hard Bond fan, but.. meh.

(btw, before it was known that it was going to be Daniel Craig, I kinda liked the idea of seeing Robbie Williams (he was rumoured) as James Bond, I think he would be awesome).

I wanna see Dragonball movie, if only just to see how it compares to the anime I saw when I was 11/12 or something.
Maybe God was the first suicide bomber and the Big Bang was his moment of Glory.

But why is Chow Yun Fat in that movie? I mean, I can sort of see him in the role as Master Roshi, especially if they're sticking to the but career-wise I didn't expect him to be in it.

James Marsters playing evil Piccolo however sounds like a really good casting choice. Plus it further cements his place in the sci-fi fanboy hall of fame along with his roles as Spike in Buffy and Braniac in Smallville.

Miracle at St. Anna looks really interesting. Oh and Watchmen.

Burn after reading comes out tomorrow. I thought it looked pretty funny in the previews. I'll check it out and get back with my 2 cents.
