I hated FF8. It took for ever to get started, you're like 5 hours into the game and you still don't give a shit about any of the characters. I never finished it, because it sucked so much. Gunblade was cool though.


I'll have to check out Ogre Battle and Lufia II and see what I think.

Nickname..I would suggest playing Lufia 1 first, then the 2nd one. The first one starts you at the end of the 'legacy' that is usually spoken about at the beggining of an Rpg and the great heroes that saved our land 2000 years ago blah blah...well in the beginning of the first one you are thrown into the thick of the end of that 'legacy', and then afterwards you begin the game as the ancestor of the main hero of old, to reunite the ancestors of the others to save the world again etc.

The SECOND game...goes into the 'first legacy from 2000 years ago' period in more depth like a prequel, and then fully explains the strife of the 'original legacy'

doubt i'll play both, and i'm enjoying Lufia II thus far. I started Ogre Battle, and it explained nothing, and I'm clearly lost and don't know what I'm doing, so it sucks so far.

I tried Lufia I and didnt really like it. Lufia II is one of the rare games I actually played through more than once.

I dunno..I like Lufia 1 quite a bit. Anyway, I've noticed a lot of people name Chrono Trigger here (possibly because a lot of titles in the thread have been reccurring due to previous mention and people not being able to think up of everything off the top of their head), but either way, you all may be interested to know that in the next couple of months for the winter holidays, Chrono Trigger is being ported to the DS with a new dungeon, retaining the movie clips from the PSX version, and DS interfaces.

If sales go well in this newer generation exposed to the game, this may hopefully lead to more motivation for some form of a potential remake or sequel to be made, if an agreement between the original creators (most of whom have departed seperate ways) can be attained.

Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion even tho its only for ps3 wii and 360 now....this game was a crazy for the pc with all the mods
