It is obvious I am for Obama and not McCain.
All I am going to say though, all you people who keep saying flip flopper. If you have the ability to see that maybe your ideas were not good, or could be better and are willing to listen to others and improve your ideas. That is not a bad thing.Maybe God was the first suicide bomber and the Big Bang was his moment of Glory.

your missing the point that Hitler was a guy promoting change for Germany, who promised to fix everything and found a scapegoat for everything. He was a brilliant speaker and people loved him because he wanted hope and change for Germany. Just saying it sounds very familiar.Rabble Rabble Rabble

As America continues to spiral ever downward, its citizens will begin to inevitably be split by racial/ethnic groups and the White majority Right Wing will begin to publicly blame the 'liberals', 'multiculturalists,' 'one-worlders,' and eventually 'minorities' for their increasing economic, political, and social woes. As history has shown, all disintegrating empires balkanize via racial/ethnic lines as they decline, and America will be no different.
That's history for ya, thanks for contributing and helping in making this a reality.May your shit come to life and kiss you on the face.

I don't care either way, as I am moving soon. Colin Powell if you know your history then was a scapegoat used by your butt buddy's Rumsfeld, Darth Cheney and Bush.
Condi...she's a real prize huh. I want that to be on my honor list. Another lying scumbag appointed politician who has done nothing.
PPl complain about Pelosi...she is no dream that's for sure, but you had 6 years of fat ass Denny Hastert as speaker who resigned so he wouldn't be hung out to dry over the corruption, lies and scandals he knowingly hid.May your shit come to life and kiss you on the face.

The economy may be "doing fine" for the top 1%, but I'm guessing you're not a part of that, either. So please, shut the fuck up for the sake of not making yourself look like any more of a spoiled, suburban white kid.

WE DON'T HAVE HUGE NUMBERS OF JOBLESS PEOPLE. Because we have refineries, drilling platforms, one of the largest ports in the U.S. and all the things that liberals don't want anymore.

As if McCain's personal love affair during his first marriage didn't undermine his morals enough, your great family woman and strong parent Sarah Palin's 17 year old daughter is pregnant. Great morals and family values these Republicans are touting.JAMAL> didn't think there was a worse shark than midoent but the_paul takes it

Please point me to concrete examples of "America sucks." Do you think America's in a good place right now? Do you really think we're on top of our game? If you do, please feel free to keep your head in the sand. The people who say that Obama is somehow saying that wholesale, "America sucks" are the same people who can't get over the fact that right now, America is truly hurting: the economy is in the shitter, we're stuck in two foreign wars, our domestic policies are becoming more and more restrictive, the middle class is shrinking, and we're becoming less relevant on the world stage by the minute. So where's this "America roolz" that you seem to be standing behind? To pull yourself up, you first need to recognize that there IS indeed a problem, then work to fix it.
Please, tell me how our economy is "doing fine." Do you own a house? My guess is that you don't. I do. The money tied up in my house is taking a beating right now.
Do you have a substantial amount of money in a retirement fund? My guess is that you don't. I do. I've never seen my TIAA/CREF account perform as badly as it has in the past 8 years.

Typical Republican rhetoric. Where's this oil coming from? Offshore? Shale fields? The fact of the matter is that even if you give the go-ahead to do these things, "America" won't own shit. Oil companies will. Who wins? Oil companies, again. They can sell the oil to whomever they want, and you best believe that they will. All "more drilling" will do is slightly crutch us for another five years or so (not to mention that even if we started going all-out right now, we wouldn't see any actual production for 5-10 years). It's not sustainable, and it's not the answer. You're right, though... oil is king right now, because we allow it to be. All Obama is saying is that we can (and SHOULD) change that.
This must be why T Boone Pickens has decided to invest heavily in wind power--because oil is so sustainably awesome, right? When even a former Swift Boater decides that renewable energy is the way to go, how can you remain so ignorant?
That may very well be (although I'd argue that steel production was equally at play), but oil is a LIMITED resource. At some point (in the very near future, at this rate), there's not going to be any left. So we should just drill until we're completely dry, and at all costs? Then what? Is that the point where we go "oh shit, maybe we should've done something about this years ago?" Maybe it's time to try and actually prevent future catastrophes (both economic and environmental) BEFORE we get caught with our pants around our ankles.
Al Gore spoke just minutes before Obama at the convention, I am just assuming that he is fairly close in Obama's party is all. Besides global warming is just a hoax to further socialism. And I personally don't care if people are gay, if they want to be gay so be it. But I don't think they should be allowed to be married when marriage is defined as between a man and a woman.
So which is it? According to you, he's saying "America sucks." If he's inspiring positive thoughts about what America could be, how is that possible? You can't have it both ways.
Right, just how any speaker who was motivational to a large group of people eventually became a despot. Just like Roosevelt. Oh wait, I mean Lincoln. Oh wait, not Lincoln... I mean Kennedy. Oh wait...

Or someone who wants to be the president of the United States that funneled money to Rezko to build low income housing that constantly failed to meet building code inspections. Obama wanted to funnel 14 million dollars to this slum lord who is now in jail, and was once one of Obama's friends. I don't want the next president to be friends with known terrorists, who thought that September 11'th happening was what America deserved because we try to save other countries from being controlled by dictators. I don't want our next president to be the candidate that leaders like Chavez and Putin want to be in control of America, because they know that he will basically destroy the military through lack of funding, and not actually be able to stop the expansion of terrorism and communism once again in the world, it is a weakness that many countries at odd with us have been waiting to happen. I don't want a president who changes his make-up depending on what kind of crowd he is talking to, darker make-up for black crowds, and lightening make-up for white crowds. I don't understand how people think that he is going to change anything, he changes his stance on pretty much every issue nearly every time he opens his mouth. He is running on a completely different platform in the election than he did in the democratic primaries, and his idea for change is making his VP pick Biden, a 65 year old white guy who has been a senator for over 20 years?
I hope everyone is ready for the Obama United States, the one where we can't say what we want (the fairness doctrine) the one where we lose the right to have guns (Supreme court decided it was ok by one vote, but Obama can appoint two judges of his choosing) the one where the people become so weak, and insignificant that they are afraid of everything, and actually want the government to intervene in their lives and livelihoods. This won't be good for America, it isn't the direction that will make this country stronger or better. I have heard my entire life the speech by democrat John F Kennedy in which he said "ask not what your country can do for you - ask what you can do for your country. "
.. Where did this become twisted and mutated into "Ask not what you can do for your country -ask what your country can do for you."Girl if it's alright,

I wouldn't consider myself a Republican or a Democrat really. My views are definitely a lot more liberal than they used to be (thank God). McCain is too conservative; Obama is too liberal.
For example, I think that we definitely need to get out of Iraq. However, I'm not sure that putting a specific timetable on it is a good idea. We went in there and screwed everything up, so we need to at least get a somewhat stable government in place before we pack up and go. But I definitely agree with Obama that we need to stop policing the world.
I looked up that candidate that Jerome mentioned, Bob Barr, and I'm thinking that he might get my vote instead of McCain or Obama, because he has more views in common with me than them.Girl if it's alright,
