just threw away the receipt, i payed exactly 39.86, for a ps3 HMDI cable made from sony...u also get a free usb recharging cable for ur controlers...good deal...but i find it weird that even tho the box on my tv said 720p, with the cable i purchased, it detected 1080p...so im not sure whats going on...is something up? am i confusing myself with something or is my tv actually running in 1080 now since ps3 told me it detected the resolution :/

As long as the lenght isn't more than 2 meters, any kind of HDMI cable are exactly the same. And you can get them for $9.75 a piece, horrible deal.

Bullshit, I have an lcd and I can watch it from all kinds of angles. Hell I am sitting to the side of it right now and the picture is perfect.

Hell, my vaio lcd screen has been the only laptop screen I have seen that you can still see the picture when you look at it way from the side.

About 6 months ago, I've done quite the research.

My conclusion is that I would put Plasma way above LCD. This is a tricky statement, but, "lcd is for the ones who don't know". Just easy researches show you that plasma is better in every field.

Except for the 'energy' part, but do you really care for those 50 extra dollars per year? Also, plasma doesn't use light/energy to show the colour black. Meaning the energy consumption is variable. And black is really black, unlike in lcd's (black is kinda a real dark blue in lcd)

For brands, Panasonic and Pioneer are quite good plasma brands.

The Easiest thing to do is to research yourself and form your own opinion.

Good post. The majority (just saying it to be safe, its prolly all of them) of the TV enthusiasts knows the the plasma is better picture wise.

That was a cheap site, the one I was talking about is a Hongkong based company who ships items for free, but the waiting time is kind of long if you're unlucky, anything from several days to two weeks. But for those prices, I'll gladly wait.
