Are there any subscribers to XM or Sirius...now XM Sirius?
I am not sure what they are talking about when they say merger, as this was a take-over and a bad one at that. The new channel selections are terrible and they have done away with 1/3 of the staple channels that people on XM subscribed to in the 1st place. Interesting that if GM goes Bankrupt, so will XM Sirius due to the radios equipted in their auto's.
Any predictions as to when this will belly-up?
40,0000 cancelations in the month of November already.
I canceled my subscription yesterday on my 2 XM radios. Had taken 2 1/2 hrs. on hold (speaker phoned it) to get an operator, and then I got a run around until I got a supervisor who in few words told me I was correct when I asked if it was due to an overload of cancelations. Odd that the hold music I was forced to listen to would be interupted every 10 mins to tell you to stay on the line due to the many callers wanting to subscribe.
This merger created a monopoly that should never have been allowed. Sirius sucks IMHO...back to listening to CD's and terrestrial radio until I get an HD Radio. If Sirius never gave that asshole Howard Stern the ridiculous contract in the 1st place maybe they wouldn't have teetered on failing and having a takeover of XM. They never got the subscribers they had thought from getting that old fossil Stern.
