I hate these teams, but seriously:

The patriots? everyone hates playing these guys, say what you will about spygate and whatnot, the point is they fucking own a lot of teams.

The jets? they were 8-3 this year before collapsing big time, not to mention they were superbowl contenders

The bills? They are a well rounded team that can do some damage if they got everyone in healthy.

Miami doesn't have playmakers, that's a fucking known fact, we just came off of a 1-15 season. And are in the playoffs, as an AFC EAST DIVISION CHAMPION.

Fucking houston? that team is no lie one big cock tease. They look like they are going to be good, but fall fucking flat, or when they look like they are going to lie dying, they come out swinging (see I have no bias against other teams, I say it how it is, unlike your shit-self)

your 4th ranked offense is only what it is from andre johnson, take him away and you'll be ranked 24th (if you want to bring up your run game, the argument is still the same, no johnson, no wr threat, more pressure on the run game)

EDIT: oh also, ask any coach/player in the league (besides TO) that the game is not about stats, it's about getting the W's and right now miami is 11-5, and in the playoffs.

The jets was overhyped with brett favre, but they also had a lot of other good players that they brought in, check out their o-line, their rb leon washington (not to mention that their leading rusher and starting rb who made the probowl was thomas jones), and their d-line with kris jenkins. fuckers were picked by every analyst to be superbowl contenders (especially when tom brady went down - whom if he hadn't, they would be picking the patriots to be going) but look a team with no names on a miami team that actually got there with a little hard work and determination, so as for your texan team (oh we can't make it to the playoffs because of the colts and titans, boo hoo) there's really no excuse. oh btw those titans, they sucked last year too, everyone thought the jags would be jostling around with the colts not the titans. You're pretty pathetic to argue for the texans, who obviously have nothing to show for it except some rookie who looked good because andre johnson is your only good player and allowed defenses to not fill the box to cover your run game. if the texans get to the playoffs, then you can fucking talk you piece of shit, until then enjoy watching other teams continue to make it to the postseason and wonder why your texans will always be mediocre.
No where did I mention we would win

Yeah because obvious that is going to happen this year with teams like the browns, the chiefs, the lions, the rams, and the seahawks, who all have much worse records.

Besides based on standings if either the colts or the titans has been in your division you wouldn't have gone to playoffs, considering both the teams that are the driving force between keeping the Texans from having a playoff year or a + year are both much better than anyone in the terrible AFC East. I don't see how you can really say much about the Texans for putting up an 8-8 record.

stop thinking like I am talking about this year, your texans will never make it to the playoffs and your only hope will be getting good draft picks, cause well, you guys suck.

Houston was 3 in total offense this season.
Houston was 4 in total passing this season.
Houston was 13 in total rushing this season (rookie RB)
Houston was 22 in total defense this season.
Houston was 17 in total passing defense this season.
Houston was in 23 total rushing defense this season.

Miami was 12 in total offense this season.
Miami was 10 in total passing this season.
Miami was 11 in total rushing this season.
Miami was 15 in total defense this season.
Miami was 25 in total passing defense this season.
Miami was 10 in total rushing defense this season.

          Houston played -

          Steelers
          Titans
          Jaguars
          Colts
          Dolphins (won)
          Lions
          Bengals
          Vikings
          Ravens
          Colts
          Browns
          Jaguars
          Packers
          Titans
          Raiders
          Browns

          Miami Played -

          Jets
          Cardinals
          Patriots
          Chargers
          Texans
          Ravens
          Bills
          Broncos
          Seahawks
          Raiders
          Patriots
          Rams
          Bills
          49ers
          Chiefs
          Jets

So basically 8 of Houstons games HALF of them were against teams with a positive record in the NFL while Miami played 6 teams that had positive records in the NFL. So crunch the numbers, despite the Texans beating you in the regular season, obviously we played more tougher teams. Especially since 4 the Colts (12-4) and the Titans (13-3) are much better than the two in your division that you played twice each which were the Jets (9-7) and the Patriots (11-5) who tied your record this season.

And then lets do some player stats, Steve Slaton (10th in NFL) got 1282 rushing yards this season compared to Ronnie Brown's (25th in NFL) 916.

And of course the Andre Johnsons (1st in NFL) got 1575 receiving yards, Owen Daniels (26th) got 862, and Kevin Walters (38th) got 899 all before Miami's first receiver (lol who) Ted Ginn Jr. (46th) got 790 receiving yards.

So finally Miami gets one on defense with Tackles with Channing Crowder (20th in NFL) getting 113 tackles over Houston's DeMeco Ryans (23rd in NFL) getting 112, after coming back from a season ending injury last season and still playing the first few games of this season. That hardly makes up for Houston's dominant players as far as offense.

As you can see the Texans, having played a much tougher schedule than Miami did still managed to outrank you on 75-80% of all stats, with much more dominant players, and a much more dominant team, especially having beaten you in the regular season. Thanks for playing.

Give us the Dolphins terrible schedule and we would have been this year. The least you can do is admit when I am right instead of just taking a pot shot when you are proven wrong.

Not to interupt the argument, but based upon the above quote, one can say the same thing about the Cardinals. If they played in the NFC East, they would have cleaned out their lockers and been on vaction two weeks ago.

It's a shame Dallas is not in the same Div as the Cardinals.

They really should re-arrange them. I could see The Rams moving to the NFC East , then move Dallas to the NFC West.

At least the NFC North had 2 teams above .500

Yeah the same could be said for a few teams honestly, I was just using the argument to say that the Texans statistically are a better team just in a harder conference.

I agree...was just looking at the overall conference records on NFL.com. The AFC South was a beast of a div. this year!

statistics will only get you so far

In this game it's not about statistics (I love that commericial talking about calculating our chances of doing good? It's not calculated, it's earned)

If you were to go on statistics alone, the Dolphins would not be in the playoffs, and be another team headed for top 10 picks.

You know your right kthx, your texans are better statistically, but that doesn't account for shit if your team doesn't have the hunger, the need, the will, the heart to get it to the top. Year in and year out, you finish at a mediocre level or worse. Excuses will get you so far, an 8-8 team defeated those colts on the playoff stage, everyone written them off yet they managed to overcome that.

You can cover your shit in jewels, but it's still shit.
