Would you really want to pay 250 dollars for your eye surgery or would you rather save up money and pay 5000 dollars for it? I mean your putting your eye sight on the line here. Oh and I suggest when you get it done you come to America since Doctors in Canada don't have any reason to really try with Universal Health care and the socialist aspect of life up there.

The reason why I'm asking Epinephrine about a clinic that is known for doing eye surgeries, lasik, is because he's a medical Doctor whose opinion carries some weight, your opinion on the other hand does not.

Eye Surgery isn't covered by my Universal Health Care. If I want to get this done, I'm going to pay someone who's more less going to charge me a lot of money. Not everything is covered by our Universal Health Care system, and if you want to actually accuse Canada of being a socialist country I suggest you get out of your bubble you've surrounded yourself in.

Some doctors carry astigmatism correction. Usually astigmatism is the underlying problem or some correctional issues and carries long/short distance problems, so while they may not cure the curvature of the shape of your eye, they will fix the problems that come from it.

Still, there are a few eye places in Houston that are some of the best in the world. People come from all over the world to have it done here.

Except that laser eye surgery isn't covered by any 'socialist' health care program unless it's a medical necessity. Most, if not all eye surgery clinics are 100% private

Yeah forgot to mention they made Wicked Baser wait about a year to make sure that his eyes werent still developing/changing prescription. He had a choice between 2 different kinds of eye surgery but I cant remember which one he had done.

A very close family friend had the surgery done about 13 years ago, he's in his 50s now, never been happier to still have perfect eyesight.

I have always wanted to get my tier 2 (or beyond) pilots license since I was a kid, but never had the opportunity since I have never had 20/20 natural vision. I have so much going on between different things that I haven't considered it just yet (contacts are convenient enough for me), but when I retire I'll definitely look into it as I'd love to have a third income as a retiree with private flying lessons. Hopefully by then some of the long term effects of laser surgery will be hashed out, and newer technology will come about to ensure an even safer and effective surgery.

I don't know anyone that's had it done personally.

I guess I'm on the fence. I want to wait longer to make sure my prescription doesn't change and possibly wait until they improve the surgery. I'd hate to have it done then a year later they completly revolutionize the surgery.

Epi: I have seen ads for $250, that was going to be my next question. Is lasik a joke? How much does it cost to get it done properly?

someone i know got this done and they were super sensitive to light and semi-blind for the rest of the day, so naturally i started poking her a lot and throwing stuff at her.

she managed to find a knife and chased me around the house
