    Something other than mafia

    Two interesting articles I came across today during my general news perusing at work.

    This is about a guy who had who was transplanted with stem cells of a person who is naturally resistant to HIV, and after 2 years he shows no signs of any HIV in his blood. Found it interesting, although they say this treatment is nowhere near readily available to most patients. Any thoughts?

                  pretty soon all the rich people will be getting aids vaccines, while africa is ravaged to the ground.

                  at least that's the order of events i see in the eventual cure for aids.

                      Why would a company cure aids when they can just keep it at bay for the rest of your life and continually make money off of you?

                      We stopped looking for cures and started looking for how to make the most money by something that effectively is a cure if you take it for the rest of your life. Same for cancer and a lot of other diseases.
