When you see Red VIII its set sometime in the distant future. Since Red is still alive in the future, he must've survived when that ship thingy crashed, which makes me wonder what happend to everyone else.

It is 500 years later. Thats slightly over the average human life expectancy. They probably all survived the crash anyway.
