I don't think I've had a lemony Hef, they all taste much more clove heavy to me.

first off, isn't it just Shiner? I believe they make shiner blonde, shiner bock, and shiner hefeweisen (which is one of the worst hefe's i've ever had) among many others. But I'll give you some credit, because shiner bock is about the only one of their brews that tastes halfway decent.

blue moon, paulaner, franziskaner, hell even shock top tastes better than shiner hefe.

But it does bring me to a point where I'll concede a bit: American hefewiesens taste more lemony than the european banana/clove/orange tastes i'm used too. There's another crappy american hefe (something like Widmire?) that actually tastes better with a lemon than an orange, and i think shiner hefe follows that style a little closer.

edit: the shiner black is pretty good too, though not exactly special for a schwarzbier

Ok, first of all I'm not replying to argue.. I just like beer.
second, Kölsch is a german beer, but the polaks have their own labeling.
third, you're right: it is awesome.

In the south we have plenty of great beer on tap, you just have to go to good bars. Houston has many great beer bars, some that have nearly 300+ beers on tap so don't give me that shit about bars in Texas which is supposedly really redneck not having good beer. Hell even Buffalo Wild Wings has like 30 beers on tap.

    Anyways my favorite beers.

    Shinerbock Hefeweizen
    Newcastle Brown
    Lawn Mower
    Guiness
    Dreadnaught
    Two Hearted Ale
    Carlsberg
    Fat Tire

HEY DUDES I'M GOING BUNGEE JUMPING WITH THE CORD TIED AROUND MY SCROTUM, SHIT'S GONNA BE EPIC!@

    FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU-

get another lame overused word please, you've run epic into the ground and unloaded hot diarrhea all over its headstone.

Lucky. I was only given the ability to travel 6 years at a time.
