I feel bad for every MMO that isn't CoH or WoW.

Failure is imminent. Fuck, look at Warhammer. Better gameplay than any other MMOs, but the community just couldn't congeal in comparison to the older two MMOs.

I think Darkfall should have waited another year.

Oh well, enjoy the game while you can before no one fucking plays it.

WoW is fucking boring, quest this, quest that. It's not even addictive... At least I don't find it to be.

Every MMORPG sucks, but there are ones that have a larger community than others. WoW will inevitably win over Dark Fall. I am truly sorry for your lots.

I don't really consider WoW to have any sort of real community, no one seems interested in helping other players unless they're in their guild. I've played small size MMORPG's and the community was small but the game play was amazing because of the people.

WoW is a terrible example of a MMORPG, I played in beta, and I played for awhile after but the game really is cookie cutter and full of tards.

Generally people who are going to play Dark Fall are former WoW and UO players.

There's a market out there for people who still love the game play of games like Ultima Online but want a game with better graphics. Not everyone who likes MMORPGs like WOW nor will they eventually consume the market, in fact WoW will probably start to lose people in 1-2 years. I already know a lot more former WoW players than current WoW players.

Here's an example of why this game is only on the up-swing. The game currently costs $70 (CAN). The developers can only open up the shop for people to purchase the game for about 5-10 minutes a day. In that five to ten minutes I assume they try to sell around 50-100 accounts a day.

They're potentially making $7000 a day just on new accounts, now that doesn't include any part of the money they make per person per month. What they're doing is slowly bringing in new players into the game, which won't rape their servers. It also makes people want this game so much more because they have to literally camp out their site waiting for new accounts to pop up.

Another thing that I find interesting is the amount of people that play older MMORPGS and want some fucking freedom while they're playing. They're definitely not marketing this to players who need training wheels while playing. Dark Fall needs players to make their diverse economy and game play work, like UO it was successful when it was more of a community run game. WoW isn't completely cut-off from this idea, but trust me there's a huge difference playing a game like UO than playing a game like WoW.

There's a good enough base for this game to survive on, and soon when people realize how mind-numbing it is to play WoW they'll switch over. Or they won't, the game has enough of a backing to survive without accepting WoW addicts into their community.

dont even bother getting it, they released it half finished so it sucks dick. plus everybody hacks and they cant do anything about it.
