You guys can choose to not believe in God or you can choose to believe, and it doesn't matter either fucking way.
What you do with your personal beliefs and religion are completely for yourself, so keep it there.
The only difference between me believing in God or not believing, is that I would probably tell you "God exists" and you would freak out and try to yell at me for it.
You would say I was super annoying and go to hell (that doesn't exist according to you) and to fuck my mother.
But you see, the athiests are the ones with the strongest opinions, the ones who attack anyone with any type of beliefs, and then blame Christians or whatever else religion for being so nosey and always putting religion on their doorstep.
The point is, atheists blame everyone else for being annoying, when they are always the ones with the strong opinions saying "NOTHING EXISTS BUT A PENIS IN MY MOUTH" - Xog and other people saying other stupid shit to bash religions (majority Christian). Go bash buddism or something. Get off christianity's nuts and worry about the ones already in your mouth (xog)RaCka> imagine standing out as a retard on subspace

I mean, is it not true that the first like 10 replies to the original post says:
There is no God. Life has no meaning. hate to break it to ya mega newb but god doesn't exist. etc etc etc?
Pretty sure atheists just got a taste of their own medicine... pushing ideology views on to others... fuck I'm right and you lose! Exalt 1 Cyrus 0
oh and I'm not blaming atheists for Christians pushing views onto others... don't twist my words like you are intelligent
I said the atheists are pushing THEIR views onto others in this thread, and keep doing so in other ones... the same thing they constantly accuse Christians of... which is pretty ironic and hypocriticalRaCka> imagine standing out as a retard on subspace

I've never had an Atheist hand me a pamphlet about their believes while I'm walking down the street. I've never seen an Atheist holding a sign saying "THE END IS NEAR." I've never seen a TV channel that's devoted to talking about Atheism 24/7. But yeah all those atheists posting on internet forums need to back off and stop pushing their beliefs!
My point is that as much as atheists always bitch on forums about christians pushing their beliefs on others, as you can see atheists push their nonbelief just as hard, if not more so. It is quite hypocritical, and so I would say stop complaining about it since you do it too.
Originally posted by Burnt View Post2 people expressed their beliefs for a god and 2 people expressed their beliefs against a god in the first 10 replies. So no it's not true.
Aren't you the one of accusing Atheists of accusing Christians of pushing their beliefs and then doing the same thing by accusing Atheists of pushing their beliefs?
Also, since we are going at it here, lets not forget that yes, christianity had hiccups, and catholics did a lot of shit like the crusades that was wrong.
Let us also not forget that Communist China and Communist Russia both forbade anyone from having a religion at all, and persecuted christians in those countries harshly, often leading to death. Atheism was their national religion, and no one was allowed anything BUT atheism. Christians had to practice in secret, otherwise would be risking death from the ATHEISTS who PUSHED BELIEFS ON THEM.
Oh its amazing how you can look at the world and find hypocrisy within all of it.RaCka> imagine standing out as a retard on subspace

Once survival is in hand - food, water, shelter - the fundamental imperative of the human mind is to understand. It is a desperate psychological urge to make sense of the world around us, to assess cause and effect, function, and the relationships between things. It's the basis for our ability to learn and plan, which is the reason for the dominance of our species. In the absence of any explanation, because the urge to understand is so strong, the mind will invent an explanation, and fully believe in its validity. This is the genesis of all religions, and one reason for the strong correlations between them, despite origins in far-flung times and cultures.
For example, we really want to know what happens after we die, but it is impossible to know objectively, so we gravitate to something that accounts for it. Note that most afterlife scenarios involve the ongoing existence of one's essence, which is another imperative of the mind - to perpetuate itself.
It became plain as day when I realized these things.
