I used to hold a similar view to this, but it has recently changed after discussion with a few people at my university. The whole, it's preordained by genetics is actually not a sound argument. What happens in the gene pool is you are given a genetic inclination to a particular direction, be it homosexual or heterosexual. This genetic inclination often can be either suppressed or furthered by your upbringing and surroundings. Ultimately though homosexuality is a choice. Just as much as heterosexuality. Just as is celibacy. With current scientific data it is almost undeniable that there is genetic inclinations towards a particular sexual alignment. I was born with natural urges towards women and the household and environment I was raised in furthered and validated those urges, and thus I made the choice to act heterosexually. Someone else could have been born with urges towards men and had that validated in their upbringing and acted upon that, and that is perfectly fine. Here's the thing though, they chose to act upon that at some point. There is no preordained force driving them to have sex with males even if it is against their wills like some people seem to glorify it as. Sure they may be aroused by males, but initiating contact and having sex is a personal choice. That being said that choice is the same in every heterosexual person's life. Homosexuals and heterosexuals at the base level if you remove all of the societal pressures, societal tendencies, and political alignments, are really not that different. It is simply a slight variation in genetic structure and location of birth really. That is probably one of the biggest factors is determining just about everything in your life. Location of birth. Ever heard of a Surrogate mother? Heterosexual couples use them too when one of the parents are not capable of proper reproduction.

I am not sure how the communications would go between a homosexual household because I have never witnessed it (I'll bet neither have you), so I cannot judge how they would interact, But I would be pretty sure they won't be forcing gay down their child's throat. Even then, it's no worse than parents forcing down the beliefs of religion, racism, and sexism to their children.
