Hey just between you and me, kz. I am a bit alert when I have to drive in my area at night, because there are so many slow possums in the area. You need to immerse yourself in the frontiers of academic fields. How about the neurophysiology of truth? How about some things that prevent the brain from decaying, so as to stop getting dumber. If you're too rational, or left-hemisphere brain oriented, I suggest taking up a craft such as drawing or producing melodies (keyboard, etc). Try to apply your lesser used brain hemisphere in a scientific research i.e. robotics, fabric designing, dream instrumentation. Find the degree to which playing classical music while you sleep promotes durations of REM or improves your life.

The idea is to supplement your fascination. Boredom should literally be impossible for comprehensible people with access to the internet. If there's even the slightest sense of a social decay, find something long-term, like research or construction. Make history books if you want a scientific truth of your own. All other truths are false, being just theological symbolism. After reading the Evolution of Medieval Thought, we can all realize how graced we are in this sense of immersion.

Forget societal vices and be oblivious to them. Aim your long-term goal to a massive scale and use this to leave behind those you love, so you don't saturate them too much, or yourself. Progressive diet, career, and general relationship with environment are the only cure for that stagnancy you feel.

I am not bored either, there is a little difference between getting bored and feeling empty. I am getting paid decent to work on interesting stuff. And because I am getting paid alright, I get enough money to do things I like with people I love and care about. Sometimes I think I spend too much time with friends, relatives ... and occasionally dates >_< that I spend too little time by myself, and although I am happy, I am not really producing much.

You can be happy, popular, yet useless. Is it really a achievement to make all other people happy, or is it more of a fulfilment to help people to achieve a higher standard of living despite the fact they might be unhappier?
