Isn't this hilarious that it is really that predictable, so now Pelosi and Byrd want to ram this shitty bill down our throats now that Kennedy is dead. You think you are on the side of whats best for America when shit like this is happening right this second? So they are just going to pass the bill even though it is statistically unpopular because it was his dream to see it happen? It was also already a popular bill at the time of the assassination, this bill isn't popular, and they are hoping to tack on a dead guys name to the bill to make people feel obligated to vote for it. Otherwise people will say "you didn't vote on the Kennedy Public Health Care Bill even though the poor man just passed away". Don't be fucking stupid Genocide.

I don't know what to tell you wark, just because you don't like this bill doesn't mean some type of reform isn't necessary. Lots of money is being flushed down the toilet because of our stupid system - it's inefficient. I had to wait 8 hours to even get fucking Advil at the ER when I had appendicitis because poor people go to the ER when they have a goddamn cold. I'm as much an opponent of a socialized system as you but that's not what's at stake here. I'd rather let uninsured people have some type of clinic plan so they don't clog the system at the ER and cost us even more money at the end of the day.

So you're telling me that when you add however many millions more people that are uninsured to socialized healthcare they'll just stop going to the ER and want me to believe it? Why the hell would they NOT go to the ER if they're feeling like shit when it wont cost them any money vs setting up an appointment at the doctor and waiting however long to get seen? When I was a kid my parents stopped me from bullshit like when i played sick like every kid does to miss the occasional day of school cause it would cost money to see the doctor even with insurance.

The reason that people are going to the ER with things like colds is because people are assholes that only care about themselves. You have no idea all the people in front of you were uninsured - thats just your guess. The fact is people go to the ER with dumb shit all the time and make people with legitimate emergencies wait for hours because all they care about is getting themselves to feel better. The media isnt helping, making everyone think they have H1N1, but really the mentality is 'I dont give a fuck about your broken leg, I threw up earlier!' or something similar.
