People used to have to own land to vote, which made sure that the people who were voting actually contributed to the society in which they had a say in shaping, otherwise you end up in a shitty socialistic nightmare like are in today which is unsustainable as we have seen over and over and over again through past countries collapsing. The insane level of race bating and class warfare in America is ridiculous where we have people who want to tax 50-60% of our pay and give it over to people who don't work, don't want to work, and are fine living that life.

It isn't taking away freedom it is ensuring that only American Citizens who have vested in the country have a right to vote for what they think is best for the country.

If you want to travel back in time to live like that then by all means necessary go ahead and build a time machine and leave us for good. The time is here and now and not back then. Things changed for a reason - Go research about why that system isn't in place anymore and maybe you'll learn a thing or two (check out slavery while you're at it, might help you understand the whole land ownership deal a bit better)

Insurance is just a waste of time. Look at TX for example, they have the most uninsured people per capita of any State. They are doing fine without coverage.

And I was making a point about how people who are being taken care of by the government shouldn't be allowed to vote because they are voting for the candidate who offers to give them even more money for being on welfare. And I happen to think that a majority of the time women vote with their emotions instead of their brains. How could you even disagree with me on that and say that voting with emotions is a good idea?

Yeah this point of view makes sense a little bit. I deal with a lot of contractors and they arent allowed to make decisions for the government because the government is paying them, and its in their best interest to get the government to pay out more money to whatever program they work for in terms of job security and even perhaps bonuses when they can go back to their company and say 'look at how much I got our role to expand with this project'. This is a different topic though, because you can make the case that big business owners or the wealthy elite shouldnt vote since republicans will generally support them.

Also people who work for oil companies shouldn't vote because they will vote for candidates who will support legislation favorable to oil companies.
