The insane level of race bating and class warfare in America is ridiculous where we have people who want to tax 50-60% of our pay and give it over to people who don't work, don't want to work, and are fine living that life.

It isn't taking away freedom it is ensuring that only American Citizens who have vested in the country have a right to vote for what they think is best for the country.

If you want to travel back in time to live like that then by all means necessary go ahead and build a time machine and leave us for good. The time is here and now and not back then. Things changed for a reason - Go research about why that system isn't in place anymore and maybe you'll learn a thing or two (check out slavery while you're at it, might help you understand the whole land ownership deal a bit better)

    • Yeah because America has gotten so much better over the last 40 years, not worse.

That must be why our economy is doing so well.

            • Insurance is just a waste of time. Look at TX for example, they have the most uninsured people per capita of any State. They are doing fine without coverage.

Texas lawmakers top rankings--for uninsured constituents:

The Texas congressional delegation holds an ignominious honor: It has more congressional districts with more uninsured people than any other state in the country.

Four of Texas' House districts rank in the worst ten in the nation for constituents who lack health-insurance coverage.

Twelve of Texas' districts -- including four in the Houston area -- are in the bottom thirty.

Not a single Texas congressional district -- even the state's wealthiest -- rank in the top half of the list of most highly insured districts.

The ten most highly insured Texas districts all are primarily suburban.
And this in both Dem and Rep Districts.

So if TX can do deal with the uninsured, it would seem that there really is no need for anyone to have coverage, unless they personally can afford it or are given this by their employer.

Damn socialists.....next thing we need to do is to end Social Security!!! free loading old bastards collecting monies. The same goes for those that have lost a parent while being a child. No reason for the Govt. to give Social Security funds to these people!!
May your shit come to life and kiss you on the face.

              • A national study by Blue Cross and Blue Shield reported that more than 30 percent of the uninsured had income levels exceeding $50,000, and that the fastest-growing population of uninsured people earned $75,000 or more.[14]
In Texas, non-citizens are almost three times as likely to be uninsured as native U.S. citizens.[24] Immigrants, many of whom are Hispanics, often work in economic sectors less likely to offer health insurance than others, such as construction; may be younger and less likely to feel the need for insurance; or may lack a family tradition of having insurance.
Yeah if you poll tons of illegal immigrants you are probably going to find lots of people without health insurance, probably because they don't need it, or don't want it. Polls don't always work, but I guess you aren't smart enough to figure that out.

                      So you are.

I am not the one with ignorant ideas here. And there hasn't been a lot you have ever said that I have agreed on.

                        • So you (personally) don't get to vote in your own perfect world. I'm in, let's do this.

I'm a landowner, beyotch. That means you're less of a person than I am and have less of an interest than I do.
Music and medicine, I'm living in a place where they overlap.

                          • I am a landowner also, whats your point?

And I happen to think that a majority of the time women vote with their emotions instead of their brains. How could you even disagree with me on that and say that voting with emotions is a good idea?
Yeah this point of view makes sense a little bit. I deal with a lot of contractors and they arent allowed to make decisions for the government because the government is paying them, and its in their best interest to get the government to pay out more money to whatever program they work for in terms of job security and even perhaps bonuses when they can go back to their company and say 'look at how much I got our role to expand with this project'. This is a different topic though, because you can make the case that big business owners or the wealthy elite shouldnt vote since republicans will generally support them.

Also people who work for oil companies shouldn't vote because they will vote for candidates who will support legislation favorable to oil companies.
