I have heard nothing but positive things about it, my friends love it. One of my friends who is filthy rich actually went every weekend towards the end of school/summer, and loved it every time.

It's fun. Way better than rollercoasters. It's not fun enough to waste money all the time doing it, though.

        no way.

I was afraid standing on top of the Stratosphere and the Eiffel Tower in Vegas (which evidently aren't that big compared to the real Eiffel Tower). I can't imagine falling from somewhere higher than that.

A friend did it a little while back. Apparently you don't get that sick feeling in your stomach from a free fall since you are already moving pretty fast when you jump out of the plane. It's definitely something that I want to try a bit later on.

I've done over 20 jumps - my friend's dad has his own little parachuting group, I love going with them. My first jump I was scared as fuck, but you'll realize it isn't bad at all. When you land you'll get the most relieved feeling of your life - - - then want to do it again.

My friend and I are planning on doing a DMT jump, I've heard of someone doing it before and read their trip report.. Idk if I'm crazy enough to do it though.

But yea Adman, it's a great time. Just don't chicken out! Not many people die from skydiving anyways :\

Just think of it this way.. once you're out of the plane, you have but a few minutes to either
              a) die
              b) live

All it takes is a pull of a chord and you're alive.

That's what i figured. If i'm gonna die, don't have to worry about anything else.

I did want to get my back tattoo finished before i die

If you die in a skydiving accident during a normal jump. You are either ûber unlucky or one big failure. I mean c'mon most would survive a jump with no training at all.

I'm taking a skydiving class in the spring at OSU... I can't wait. My parents are trying to talk me out of it because they think I'll die.

It isn't that expensive once you do it enough if you take the training courses. I mean after a while you learn to repack your own chute and once you don't have to do a tandem jump with an instructor it isn't that much to jump.

I might consider that if not for two things, wark:

                        1) By the time you finish taking the 6 or 7 step lessons they make you take and buying all the equipment you've spend upwards of $1000. Sure it only costs $30 bucks a jump for gas after you drop all that but I just don't think it's worth that. I'd rather buy a motorcycle.

                        2) All the kids that hang out at the drop zone are toolbags you would never want to hang out with. They are some of the most uninteresting people, probably due to the fact that their life revolves around jumping out of an airplane and they feel like everyone should know about it.

I'm sorry but, I can't blame them. Landing back on earth after falling from this high:

                          Is a big thing.

It's not something you can say is a small part of your life like going on a giant rollercoaster. This is much different. In all honesty, why you hatin on the kids that are more involved with the thrilling side of life?

You probably made that assumption in #2 based on one experience from people you've never met prior to seeing them that day. "Some dicks are making me jealous cuz they have more fun with their time. Everyone at drops zones must be like this!"

No, not everyone is. Sure maybe someone got caught up in the moment and started bragging that they've jumped and rubbed it in your face like an asshat, but everyone does that at some point. Don't go assuming everyone's like that just because of a few people.

Adman - take the dive. You'll NEVER regret it.
