Damn I was going to take skydiving classes for 2 weeks in the summer. Organized by a university organization. But they didn't select me, nor my friend.. : ((((((((

You must have been using CE and didn't realize you were supposed to die when hit (by the ground). Yeah it's hard as hell to kill this guy in Javduel too....

Wow awesome! Skydiving looks cool, wonder if I'll ever do it. I've done paragliding before which was awesome.

    BTW I agree with Gall.

Hope it went well for you.

I jumped way back in 2002 a few years out of HS, was a big adrenaline rush for me. Felt tired for the rest of the day and was super laid back, was high on something other than Oxy.

That introduction thingy sounded way too much like some terrible porn thing where they "pick" chicks up on the streets.

I said a little scary, and more scary. It was never full scary though :flowers: Although, I was referring to the dive itself not being scary.

    EDIT:
The stuff of me is from like 1:20-5:30

Overall, I'd recommend it. I never got nervous at all and didn't think it was scary. It was such a blast though.
    Contradict much?

Not to bump an old thread... but I just got done skydiving! I did AFF (so I was by myself with an instructor on both sides).

I took a class at OSU, so I went to three 3-hour classes before my jump today. We left at 5am and got here around 7. They read off the order of jumpers and, of course, I was first. Got off the bus, suited up, discovered my instructor is someone I'll be working with at Nationwide this summer. Then there was just awhile of practicing and going through the motions.

Finally it was time to get on the plane. We're at about 2,000 feet when they performed my last equipment check before deployment. They check my gear... and oh! My automatic deployment device (for emergencies) has turned itself off! Back to the ground. We landed, I got off the plane, and apparently everyone thought the stupid blonde girl chickened out. FALSE. I wasn't going to interpret my equipment failing as a sign of God telling me not to jump. I got my equipment fixed, and was able to go up again in about an hour.

It was a little scary in the plane once they opened the door again, because this time I knew I'd actually be jumping. Getting in the door and looking out was even more scary. But yeah, I jumped, and my first thought was, "HOLY SHIT IT'S COLD!" Then, my radio decided to come undone, and it was bouncing around just hitting me in the face. It kind of threw me off for awhile. Finally I pulled my parachute, popped my ears, and enjoyed a nice, gentle ride back to the ground.

Overall, I'd recommend it. I never got nervous at all and didn't think it was scary. It was such a blast though.

Video will be forthcoming (my netbook doesn't have a DVD player).
